Alice Dixson proudly shared to her Instagram followers last Thursday, April 8, that she already received the first dose of her COVID-19 vaccine.

The 51-year-old actress, who is currently in Canada, said she was able to get the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which reportedly has a 95% effectivity rate at preventing the COVID-19 virus.

Alice wrote, "I got my 1st [emoji] yesterday thanks to my big bro who drove me back n forth to the vaccination site numerous times (long story [emoji]) yay!"

Alice noted in her post that it would take her three to four more weeks for the second dose, but she is hoping to get it in the Philippines.

She continued, "My 2nd shot is 3-4 weeks pero balak ko sana sa Pilipinas [emoji] na lng pag uwi namin. Does anyone know if may Pfizer sa atin? So far balita ko is AstraZenica & Sinovac. May alam ba kayo na Pfizer?

At press time, the Philippines has so far received over 2.5 million doses of Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines. Of which, 1.9 million doses have already been administered.

The country is also expecting 117,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which is expected to arrive this month from the vaccine-sharing COVAX Facility led by the World Health Organization. This is also part of the vaccination program for the country's medical frontliners.

The Legal Wives actress flew to Canada around March 2021, before the government placed NCR and its neighboring provinces including Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal—now known as NCR Plus—in a bubble for enhanced community quarantine.
