Singer-actress Emmanuelle Vera finished third runner-up at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 pageant, which was held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia on Saturday, October 30, 2021 (Sunday morning, October 31, 2021, in the Philippines).

Mexico had a back-to-back win at the pageant with 2019's winner Regina Peredo passing the title to her successor Andrea Bazarte during the grand coronation night of the pageant's 30th edition.

Panamá's Ana Lucia Tejeria was Crowned Virreina Hispanoamericana 2021. Meanwhile, Colombia's María Alejandra Vengoechea emerged as first runner-up and Venezuela's Andrea Romero was second runner-up.

Brazil's Bruna Zanardo and Portugal's Theresa Matos won fourth and fifth runners-up, respectively.

EMMANUELLE VERA'S Q&A

Each of the top 7 finalists were given 30 seconds to answer during the pageant's question and answer.

Miss Dominican Republic Karibel Perez served as Emmanuelle's interpreter.

The Pinay beauty queen was asked: "Life after the pandemic has given us a second chance, what do you do now and why?"

Emmanuelle answered: "I stand here before you here today receiving a second chance. The pandemic rendered me jobless and hopeless, but through faith and perseverance, I rose again.

"But I realized that many Filipinos, countless Filipinos did not have the same opportunities as I did.

"Throughout the pandemic, I had the privilege of volunteering, raising funds, and serving the less fortunate in my country.

"I witnessed their situation and I realized that I will never be the same.

"And now, because of the pandemic, I choose to see people through the lens of empathy to give them kindness and to act in genuine, selfless love.

EMMANUELLE AT MISS WORLD PHILIPPINES 2021

In an Instagram post after the pageant, the Miss World Philippines Organization headed by national director Arnold Vegafria congratulated Emmanuelle for her impressive performance.

Part of the caption read: "Congratulations to our very own Emmanuelle Vera (@emmanuellevera) for placing as Tercera Finalista (3rd Runner-Up) in the Reina Hispanoamericana 2021!

Toward the end of the post, the pageant organization also congratulated Andrea for her win and Karibel for being Emmanuelle's translator during the competition.

"Congratulations also to Andrea Bazarte for winning the crown! We would also like to thank Miss Dominican Republic for being the translator in the Q&A segment.

Emmanuelle only had 11 days to prepare for the Reina HispanoAmericana 2021 pageant.

She won the national title of Reina HispanoAmericana Filipinas 2021 at the Miss World Philippines 2021 pageant last October 3 in Subic, Pampanga.

Emmanuelle flew to Bolivia on October 17, 2021.

In 2019, Philippine bet Kat Llegado had a fifth runner-up finish.

Teresita Ssen Marquez, also known as Winwyn, is the first Filipina to win the title.in 2017.
