The crowd went wild after host Steve Harvey announced that Beatrice Luigi Gomez made it to the Top 16!
At this writing, the Miss Universe 2021 coronation night is now happening, December 13 (Manila time), in Eliat, Israel.
Amazed by the loud cheers for Miss Philippines, Steve quipped, “We’re supposed to be Israel, we’re in Israel. This is Israel.”
As the screams continued to reverberate through the arena, Steve remarked with a smile, “Hey! This is Israel,” again addressing the loud and energetic Pinoy audience.
Steve went on to interview Bea and asked about the cherry blossom tattoo she got on her 23rd birthday.
According to Bea, the tattoo means “rebirth and new beginning,” and it is a symbol to “celebrate my womanhood.”
Even the Filipinos on Twitter have been unstoppable in showing their support for Bea.
At press time, the announcement clip uploaded on Miss Universe’s Twitter page has already generated 7.4 likes and almost 3k retweets at press time.
“Go Bea” has also been one of the consistent trending topics on Twitter since the beginning of the pageant.

She is set to be seen in her evening gown for the next part of the competition.
This year's panel of judges includes Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, Bollywood actress Urbashi Rautela, former Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima, American actress Rena Sofer, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, entertainment host Adamari Lopez, and entrepeneur-model Lori Harvey.
