TV Patrol has introduced its new weatherman today, December 13, 2021.
PAGASA meteorologist Ariel Rojas takes the weatherman post vacated by Kim Atienza, who transferred to GMA-7 in September 2021.
After the broadcast, TV Patrol anchor Karen Davila posted photos with Ariel and the rest of the team welcoming him on his first day as the show’s weatherman.
Present in the photo were: Bernadette Sembrano, Henry Omaga Diaz, ABS-CBN News Head Ging Reyes, Karen, News Production Head Francis Toral, Marc Logan, and Gretchen Fullido.
Karen wrote in the caption, “Let’s all give a WARM WELCOME to TVPatrol’s new weatherman, Pag-Asa meteorologist @arielrojasph [Philippine flag emoji]”
Karen mentioned in her caption that Ariel’s father even got teary-eyed for his big break.
The female newscaster wrote, “ABSCBN News Head @gingreyes personally welcomed Ariel on his first airing day!! [clapping emoji] Naiyak ang tatay ni Ariel habang pinapanood sya sa TV! So happy for your big break Ariel!!

Based on TV Patrol’s welcome AVP for him, Ariel was a weather specialist in PAGASA for four years.
He was not just introduced as the new weatherman for TV Patrol but also as ABS-CBN's resident meteorologist.
On Twitter, Ariel thanked his colleagues for the warm welcome, "Thanks for the very warm welcome, @TVPatrol @ABSCBNNews! Still overcome with emotions.

Ariel is the third weatherman of TV Patrol following the late Ernie Baron and Kim Atienza.
