Rabiya Mateo is excited to work on her latest TV assignment: a variety game show with Pokwang and Kim Atienza.
This was announced by GMA-7 yesterday, May 31, 2022, through its official website.
Titled TiktoClock, the program is set to premiere in July 2022 and will showcase the singing and dancing talents of Filipinos.
The show is also rumored to replace the daytime talk show Mars Pa More, hosted by Camille Prats, Iya Villania, and Kim Atienza. According to reports, the show is being axed in a few weeks’ time.
Rabiya was one of the artists who faced the press during the virtual media conference for Signed for Stardom on May 31.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Rabiya for details about her upcoming show.
She admitted, “Actually, wala pa po talagang formal briefing sa amin.
“Pero when I saw the article, it’s a variety show and marami kaming ipapakitang talents, individuals, Filipinos both sa singing, and, at the same time, sa pagsayaw.”
How does she see herself working with two veteran hosts?
She continued, “I’m also excited kasi different yung personalities. If titignan mo, nandiyan si Mama Pokwang na very funny, nandiyan si Kuya Kim na very intellectual, and then ako na parang nasa middle lang na medyo funny, medyo intellectual.
“So parang this time, I’m very happy kasi maipapakita ko na rin yung personality ko far from being a beauty queen, si Rabiya na talaga.
“I’m looking forward kasi it’s different. Magiging masaya siya.”
GMA-7 has yet to formally announce the timeslot of TiktoClock and if it will, indeed, replace Mars Pa More.
