Ang Viva Hot Babe na si Jennifer Lee ang itinanghal na Best DJ ng The New Hue Music Awards na ginanap noong May 28, 2022.
Isang malaking tagumpay para sa kanya ang parangal na natanggap dahil sa mga pagsubok na naranasan niya sa panahon ng pandemya.
Natutuwa si Jennifer dahil unti-unti nang bumabalik sa normal ang pamumuhay ng mga Pilipino kaya maipagpapatuloy na niya ang kanyang career bilang DJ. Labis kasi itong naapektuhan ng pandemya pero nagkaroon ng magandang kapalit.
“Masaya ako na the live events industry is finally back. We all know how it was hit during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.
"Ang saya ng mga music festivals ngayon! Nothing beats the energy and smiles you see on the dance floor.
"I also feel blessed that my talent and passion for this craft is recognized by The New Hue, an award-giving body that brings together people from different communities in the creative industry.
"They recently had their first music awards, The New Hue Music awards 2022!

HOW JENNIFER BECAME A DJ
Nag-umpisa ang DJ profession ni Jennifer noong 2014.
Hanggang ngayon ay in-demand performer siya sa mga music festival, concert, corporate events, birthday, at wedding parties.
Naging madali para kay Jennifer ang maging DJ dahil sa kanyang likas na hilig sa musika.
Lahad niya, “I got my first DJ equipment in 2012 after graduating college. I’ve always been musically inclined, being able to play the drums, piano, and guitar at an early age that’s why being a DJ came natural for me.
“I’ll forever be grateful to DMC Philippines And DJ Academy for launching my DJ career at my first international music festival, as opening DJ for Juicy M!
“And also Pioneer DJ Philippines for believing in me and for having me as one of their brand ambassadors.”
Bilang isang lady DJ, ano ang mga hamon na hinarap niya?
“Dati kasi dominated by male ang DJ scene. It’s nice to see women step up and showcase what we can do.
“I guess the challenge is to prove your talent and value as a DJ and that you are not just some pretty face.
“I’m not sure if meron advantage ‘coz when it comes to bookings, andiyan din naman ang mga brother DJs ko sa line up. Maybe, more free drinks!” natawang sagot ni Jennifer.
TRUE SURVIVOR
Maituturing na isang tunay na survivor si Jennifer dahil hindi niya hinayaang panghinaan siya ng loob nang dumating ang coronavirus pandemic noong 2020.
“Since we were encouraged to stay at home, a lot of the DJs transitioned to digital. We try to create music and contents to spread positivity.
“Okay din mag-stream! Performing in front of a monitor can also get more reach of viewers and listeners all over the world. Kailangan lang talaga creative at determined.
“Dahil lahat ng events ko was cancelled, I continued selling bags and jewelry for Lee Luxe Official.
“Surprisingly, maraming bumili ng engagement rings noong pandemic," sabi ni Jennifer, na pinatunayan ng ibang mga jeweler.
Patuloy niya, “I also worked part time Livix InfoTech Solutions as a data encoder.
"Eventually, I put up my online food business, Comida Party Trays! We deliver delicious party trays for home celebrations and gatherings."
