Mariing pinabulaanan ni Korina Sanchez ang lumabas na ulat sa isang online report na siya umano ang emisaryo ng Filipino billionaire at former Senator na si Manny Villar upang mag-recruit ng talents sa bubuksang network nito.
Ilang buwan nang kumakalat ang balitang bubuksan na ni Villar ang bagong TV station niyang Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) na nagawaran ng dating frequencies ng ABS-CBN.
Pinabulaanan ni Korina ang ulat ng Bilyonaryo.com na may titulong “Villar’s fab headhunter? Korina Sanchez reportedly raiding ABS-CBN talent to beef up Manny’s ‘Capamella TV’”
Ayon sa ulat, si Korina raw at ang mga dati nitong kasamahan sa News Department ng ABS-CBN ang nagre-recruit ng mga tauhan sa loob ng Kapamilya Network na nais magtrabaho sa AMBS.
Pahayag ni Korina sa Instagram at Facebook ngayong gabi ng Biyernes, June 17, 2022: “Once and For All. No, it is not true.
“There has been no communication whatsoever between myself and anyone officially representing former Senator and tycoon Manny Villar’s supposed new network.
“After the online article came out I was surprised people were applying for jobs to me [laughing emoji].
“I was not aware of the news circulating. My press agent called and said I needed to issue a statement. I said, ‘Huway? About huwat?’. Anyway, I did a short one. Seems it wasnt enough. So here, irrefutably:
“1. I’m thrilled to be called a ‘fab hunter’.
“2. I’m a Lara Croft in many ways but I hardly ever 'raid'. And, in this case, I haven’t ‘raided’ any workforce to try and pirate people to work for the Villar network, or any other network.
“3. If at all, Ive only called my good friend Cheryl Favila and Maricar Asprec once or twice to ask if either of them know of anyone without work—because I have work waiting for my own show Rated Korina airing on both TV5 and A2Z. Cheryl and Maricar are not 'helping me pirate people'. Chair is lucratively freelance as she is."
Sina Cheryl Favila at Maricar Asprec ay dating news producers ng ABS-CBN na kinasuhan ng TV Patrol Star Patroller na si Gretchen Fullido ng reklamong paglabag sa Republic Act 7877 o Anti-Sexual Harassment Act.

“NO, I'M NOT HEADHUNTING”
Dagdag pa ni Korina, hindi siya nagbigay ng panayam na may kaugnayan sa AMBS Network.
Sa ngayon ay welcome naman daw siya kung saan may opportunity. Masaya na yaw siya sa kanyang palabas ngayon na Rated Korina.
Dagdag pa ni Korina, “4. I have not given any interviews about working with the Villar channel. Im not sure where the quotes are coming from. But it is true that the heads of all these networks are friends to me, and me to them.
“5. I am a broadcaster and journalist and creative mind at heart. It is what I do best, I think. I produce my own shows now. So, whenever and wherever I am welcome, and there is an opportunity, I will listen and possibly collaborate. I am very happy being in TV5 and A2Z as a line producer via Brightlight.
“So, again, yes I’d like to think I’m a ‘fab hunter’. But, no, I’m not headhunting for the Villar Network.”
