Pormal nang naupo sa puwesto bilang bagong chairperson ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) ang beteranong aktor na si Tirso Cruz III.
Ito ay ayon mismo kay former FDCP chair Liza Diño.
Sa kanyang Facebook Live ngayong gabi, July 21, sinabi ni Liza na pumunta sa opisina ng FDCP si Tirso para sa isang pagpupulong at sa pormal nitong pamumuno sa ahensiya.
Lahad ni Liza, “Good evening everyone. This afternoon, chair Tirso Cruz III came to the office for a meeting and to officially assume his duties as the new FDCP chairman effective today, July 21, 2022.
“Our team was able to present the FDCP’s programs and accomplishments for the last six years. With this new development, I would like to assure you of my continued support of this new leadership for a smooth transition.”
Nagpasalamat muli si Liza sa suporta ng film industry workers sa kanyang pamumuno sa ahensiya.
Sabi niya, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your love, support, trust sa loob ng anim na taon ng aking panunungkulan.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. Mabuhay po kayong lahat at mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino.
“This is chair Liza, signing off.”
Kaninang umaga, nag-post pa si Liza ng isang sulat mula sa opisina ng Pangulo na nagtatakda sa kanya hanggang August 7 bilang chairperson ng FDCP sa holdover capacity.
“The FDCP received official notice from the Office of the President that my holdover duties is until August 7. Turnover preparations are now ongoing for a smooth transition with our new Chair, Tirso Cruz III. Maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta. #FDCP #teamFDCP,” sabi niya.
July 5 umugong na si Tirso ang napipisil ng Malacañang na humalili sa kanya sa puwesto.
Pero walang pormal na anunsiyo galing sa Palasyo.

Nalaman lamang daw ni Liza ang balita sa social media.
Saad niya sa kanyang Facebook Live noon, “I just wanna let you know that the agency has also read the latest development regarding the chairmanship of the FDCP online, and while we haven’t received any official communication from the Office of the President, that we are preparing for a smooth process sa transition and turnover ng FDCP to our new chair.”

Sa kabilang banda, isang malaking karangalan naman daw para kay Tirso ang maikunsiderang pamunuan ang film council.
Sabi niya sa panayam ng TV Patrol noong July 6, “I’m honored I was chosen. Mabigat na trabaho ito at kailangan ko rin ng tulong ng council at iba pang kasama sa industriya.”
