Naging sentro ng usap-usapan si Alexa Miro nang ma-link siya sa Presidential son na si Sandro Marcos.
Kung anuman ang mayroon sila—whether friendship o true love—magtatagal naman siguro ito.
“If it’s friendship or if it’s true love, magtatagal iyan? Are you telling me na magtatagal or are you asking me,” at tumawa si Alexa.
Dugtong ng dalaga, “Whatever it is po, right now, I’m really, really in a good position with Sandro, and we support each other.
"We’re friends, and I hope po na magtagal yun. We always want naman our core system to stay with us as we go along.”
HIndi niya idinetalye ang kanyang pakahulugan sa "core system," pero base sa kanyang pahayag, hindi sila apektado ni Sandro ng anumang comments sa social media.
Isa pa nga raw si Sandro sa unang nagturo sa kanya kung paano i-handle ang bashers.
Sabi ni Alexa, “Hindi naman po nakakaapekto sa mga friendship po namin yung bashing.
“I think isa po siya sa unang-unang nagtuturo sa akin na hindi importante ang sinasabi ng ibang tao as long as you know who you are.
“So I think his wise words to me were, 'The lion doesn’t concern itself with thoughts of sheep.'
"And so malaking tulong sa akin yun kahit hindi ko naman feeling na lion ako."
Mahigit apat na taon na ang special friendship nina Alexa at Sandro. Ipinakilala sila sa isa’t isa ng kanilang common friend sa isang event.
Gaano ka-strong ang friendship nila ngayon?
“Strong, very strong po.”
Hindi ba magle-level up ang friendship nila ni Sandro?
“I don’t know because ako, personally, I don’t plan anything in terms of, like, romantic endeavors or who I’m gonna fall in love with, so I have no idea.
"But he is a very good friend,” nakangiting sinabi pa ni Alexa.
DEALING WITH INTRIGUE
Nagsimulang ma-link ang dalawa noong kasagsagan ng kampanya para sa May 2022 presidential elections.
Noong June, inamin ni Sandro kay Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado na ang girlfriend niya ay "taga-Bacoor," pero hiniling niyang, "atin na muna."
Lingid sa kalaaman ng binata ay naka-Facebook Live pala ang usapan nila, at mas umigting ang haka-haka na si Alexa ang "taga-Bacoor" na girlfriend ng congressman.
Pero dinenay ito ni Sandro, na nagpahayag ng, "I am single."
Sa parte naman ni Alexa, sinabi niyang close friends sila.
How did the intrigue affect her?
“I think I’ve come to terms with it naman po, okay lang naman po yun sa akin na it’s still there, it’s still brewing.
"And it would die down naman if it should die down or if it will blow up, hindi ko naman po kontrolado ang media or kung paano magre-react ang other people.
“How do I handle it ba? Okay na po ako, e. Kasi medyo napagdaanan ko na yung mga hurdles na naaapektuhan pa ako.”
Mas natuto raw siyang mag-focus, at pinili niyang tingnan ang bright side.
"Pero ngayon, medyo well-adjusted na po ako because I think I’ve learned how to blur out what needs to be blurred out, the background noise, and I’m focused on myself, my career, what I can do for other people, so ayun.
“Thankful lang po ako na, of course, when I appear onscreen or wherever I go or whatever I do, it has an impact to other people. So hindi natin dapat yun sinasayang,” ang nakangiting wika ni Alexa.
Nakatulong daw na hindi na siya nagbubukas ng messages at nagbabasa ng comments.
“I think, I stopped opening messages, I stopped reading comments because the negative stuff, it actually gets addicting!
“Di ba, parang naghahanap ka ng, ‘Ah, that one positive comment that tells you it’s okay.’
"But then, you will also see the negatives ones. So why bother opening it in the first place if hindi naman importante talaga kung ano yung sasabihin ng iba, as long as kilala mo yung sarili mo.
“I think that’s the first step I took that really, really helped me.
"And of course being with my core system, as long as they know who I am and they support me, ayun, kaya na."
