Kinumpirma ng talent manager na si Shirley Kuan na kumonsulta siya sa abogado sa kalagitnaan nang walang tigil na pag-atake ni Lolit Solis sa alagang aktres ni Shirley na si Bea Alonzo.
Nagsimula ang “unprovoked attacks” ni Lolit, gamit ang kanyang Instagram account at ibang platforms, nang lumipat sa Bea, premium star ng ABS-CBN, sa bakuran ng GMA Network, noong July 2021.
Mula noon hanggang ngayon ay patuloy pa rin si Lolit, 75, sa kanyang personal na mga banat sa career, love life, at maging sa hitsura ng 35-anyos na aktres.

"CONSULT A LAWYER"
Sa kanyang Instagram post noong October 9, 2022, nag-ingay si Lolit na kumunsulta raw ng "lawyer” ang kampo ni Bea dahil sa kanyang mga isinusulat laban sa aktres.
Bukod dito, inanunsiyo rin ni Lolit na nakakatanggap siya ng "grave threats" at "bashing” mula sa mga tagasuporta ng aktres.
Sa eksklusibong panayam kay Shirley Kuan—o kilala sa industriya bilang SK—ng Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), noong Oktubre 10, 2022, inamin nitong kumunsulta nga sila sa abogado.
Deklara ni SK: “Yes. In fact, the lawyers, without consulting them, sila na yung nag-draft ng documents.
“And it reached a point wherein we gave the documents to Bea to sign.”
Pero, ayon kay SK, tumangging pumirma ni Bea. Ayaw raw nitong patulan si Lolit dahil isinaalang-alang ng aktres ang edad ng huli.
“She refused to sign it because ayaw niya… out of the goodness of her heart, ayaw niyang patulan ang matanda.
“That’s what she said. ‘Ayaw kong pumatol. Plus, what if something happens to her, baka ang mangyayari, ako pa ang sisihin.’"
Hindi nagtagal, lumitaw ang balitang may problema sa kalusugan si Lolit at nangailangan ng dialysis.
Sabi ni SK: “And to be very honest, once it was out there that she got very sick, I had to call Bea, and [I] said, ‘You know what, I really admire you for doing the right thing.
“’Ikaw talaga, meron kang divine guidance. Di ba, because of all the good deeds you’ve been doing, hindi ka binibitawan ni Lord. Talagang may divine guidance ka.’
“Kahit ako, hindi ko sinabing huwag nating ituloy... Anyway [sabi ko], we have a lawyer who can handle that… we don’t have to handle that [directly].
“But, no, si Bea ang ayaw.”
NO ADDITIONAL AMMUNITION
Sa hindi nila pagsampa ng reklamo, naniniwala si Shirley na naalisan nila ng karagdagang bala si Lolit.
Sabi ng talent manager: “It’s really Bea, out of the goodness of her heart, and I really appreciated that. Even the lawyers appreciated it, that she did the right thing.
“So I told her, I commended her that, ‘Buti na lang, you decided like that.’ Because, e, ano ngayon, di parang kami pa ang puwedeng i-blame?
“Buti na lang we didn’t give her additional ammunition. So, she can’t use that.”
Paano nakarating kay Lolit ang impormasyong kumunsulta ang kampo nila sa abogado?
“I don’t know. Yung yata isang taong involved sa Beautederm,” pagtukoy ni Shirley sa iniendorsong beauty brand ni Bea.
“Because, out of respect to [the brand managers], I told them, ‘This could happen, this might happen if she doesn’t stop.’
“But [the brand managers] said, ‘Sana huwag nang umabot sa ganun.’ They’re very nice. ‘Sana huwag na, Tita.’
"Okay, out of respect, ‘Sige, huwag na nating i-pursue iyan.’
“Plus, ayaw din talaga ni Bea.
"And to be honest, [the owners of the beauty brand] also did their best to stop this.
“They asked them [Lolit and Co.], ‘Tama na.’ Kasi, alam nila wala namang kasalanan si Bea.
“Alam naman nila, sinabi nila sa kanya [Lolit], ako ang ayaw mag-imbita sa kanya... Ayoko na kasali sila doon, okay?
“Kasi, sinong manager na matino na gagawin yun sa artista niya, di ba?”
Ang tinutukoy ni Shirley ay ang hindi pag-imbita kay Lolit, pati na ang malalapit sa kanyang showbiz reporters na sina Salve Asis at Gorgy Rula, sa presscon ng contract renewal ni Bea para sa beauty brand noong March 25, 2022.
LOLIT RECEIVED WHATEVER THE INVITED PRESS GOT
Taliwas sa paratang ni Lolit na si Bea ang may pakana nang hindi pag-iimbita sa kanila, inamin ni SK na siya mismo ang nagdesisyon.
Bilang talent manager, trabaho raw kasi niyang protektahan ang alaga sa mga naninira rito.
Pagsisiwalat pa ng talent manager ni Bea, kahit hindi inimbitahan si Lolit at ang dalawang kasamahan nito sa presscon, natanggap nila ang mga giveaways sa imbitadong press.
Maliban dito, inimbitahan pa raw ng may-ari ng beauty brand ang tatlo sa isang lunch. Pinangakuan din daw ang mga ito ng vacation trip sa South Korea.
Kuwento ni SK: “So, the very next day, the day after the presscon… because the very generous, kind-hearted owner of [the beauty brand], Ms. Rhea Tan, invited them to lunch, explained again.
“And whatever they didn’t receive, because they missed the presscon, they received that from her and more, and even promised them a trip to Korea."
Pero sa kabila raw nito ay hindi tumigil si Lolit sa pag-atake kay Bea.
“But nothing, right? Still, the disrespect is there.
“So, I know their [owners] effort. Kailangan suklian ko yung effort nila. Quiet na muna tayo, di ba? We just let it go.
“Kasi sabi niya [owner], ‘Kasi, Tita, baka madamay yung brand namin.’
"Ayaw ko yun. Although hindi naman namin kasalanan. We’re not instigating all these. All we do is promote, and they really appreciate that.”
IS THERE A RIFT BETWEEN SHIRLEY AND LOLIT?
Isang naging espekulasyon tungkol sa mga birada ni Lolit kay Bea ay baka ang totoong may alitan ay sina Lolit at Shirley. Na baka ginagamit lamang ni Lolit si Bea upang patamaan si Shirley, ang manager nito.
Malalim at matagal ang pinagsamahan nina Shirley at Lolit. Kapwa sila founding members ng Philippine Artists Managers, Inc. (PAMI), ang grupo ng local talent managers na naitatag noong 1994.
Direktang tinanong ng PEP.ph si Shirley kung may hidwaan sila ni Lolit.
Tugon ni Shirley: “No, no, no… we’ve always been friends. I’ve always been a good friend to her. Wala akong alam na ginawa ko to hurt her or anything.
“In fact, on the contrary, she would even, you know, be very generous in her praises for me, which I don’t even want it public.
“And publicly, she would even write about me, [about] sending her this thing kahit gaano kalayo ang bahay niya.
"Talagang I make an effort to do that. Because I have only love for her and care for her. I’ve always been a good friend to her.
“And when she needs me to help her, I’m there. She wanted me to help her with the endorsements of her artists, I help her.
“Sometimes I succeed, but sometimes I don’t, but she knows I make an effort because she knows that’s my niche.
“So, wala kaming away at all.”
Ang tinutukoy na "niche" ni SK ay ang television/print product endorsements na isinasara niya para sa celebrity clients.
Kaya ipinagtaka raw ni Shirley nang labis kung bakit inaatake ni Lolit ang alaga niyang aktres.
“So, to me, I took it personally na in-attack niya because magkaibigan kami, e.
“Kung may atraso si Bea sa kanya, e, di ano ba naman yung i-text niya ako?
"Not the other way around. Kami na yung in-attack, kami pa yung pupunta sa kanya? No.
“You’re not gonna satisfy the bully. You don’t have to because it was totally unprovoked.”
Bunsod ng tinatawag nitong pambu-“bully” ni Lolit kay Bea, nagbitiw na si Shirley sa kinabibilangan nila ni Lolit na PAMI. Presidente rito si June Torrejon ng VIVA Communications.
Ang pananahimik ng organisasyon, ayon kay Shirley, ay nangangahulugang hinahayaan nitong mamayani ang "bullying."

LOLIT’S GHOSTWRITER?
Kapansin-pansing sa halos lahat ng Instagram posts ni Lolit ay lagi nitong binabanggit ang pangalang “Salve.”
Ang “Salve” na tinutukoy ni Lolit ay si Salve Asis, ang entertainment editor ng tabloid na Pilipino Star Ngayon, kung saan may regular column (“Take It, Take It”) ang beteranang talent manager at showbiz columnist hanggang ngayon.
Alam sa sirkulo ng showbiz na malapit sina Lolit at Salve, na madalas ay magkasama sa mga presscon at maging sa pagbiyahe sa ibang bansa.
Naniniwala si Shirley na may kinalaman si Salve sa likod ng IG posts ni Lolit.
Pahayag ng manager ni Bea tungkol kay Lolit: “It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who her cohorts are. They’re a team… because they are always together. She mentions Salve all the time. As I said, it doesn’t take a genius.”
Dagdag pa ni Shirley, may ghostwriters si Lolit.
“Well, it’s a common knowledge in the industry, maski siya mismo inamin niya na mayroon siyang ghostwriters. Inaamin naman niya. It’s not naman a secret, e.
“Hindi naman nanggagaling sa akin, di ba? I’m just putting it out there. So, if there’s anybody who would write for her, possibly, it could be those who are closest to her.”
Tanong ng PEP.ph kay Shirley matapos hindi nito paimbitahan ang grupo ni Lolit: Ibig bang sabihin nito ay kapag may isinulat na hindi maganda tungkol kay Bea ang sinumang writer, banned na ito sa presscons ng aktres?
Paglilinaw ni Shirley: "No. I never did. Not ever, not ever.”
Iba raw ang kaso ni Lolit dahil walang tantan at “unprovoked” ang mga atake nito kay Bea.
Partikular raw kay Lolit & Co. ang ginawa niyang pagkilos: “Kung may ginawa kaming kasalanan, may miscommunication—kahit miscommunication lang—e, I would approach her and ask her. And if we need to explain ourselves, you know, we will.
“Hindi kami tanga. Alam namin what we need to do kung kami ang may kasalanan o merong shortcomings man lang.
"Pero wala, e.”
Ayaw ring tanggapin ni Shirley ang paliwanag na kaya sinisiraan ni Lolit si Bea ay upang mas sumikat at mas mapansin ang aktres, at ginagawa rin daw ito ni Lolit para manatiling relevant siya sa showbiz.
“I don’t know paano siya mag-isip, and I don’t even wanna think about paano siya mag-isip.
“But it’s very clear on how she’s attacking and writing that she wants to destroy this person. It’s very clear.
“And in fact, di ba, ang attack pa niya, e, kunwari, merong ganito, ganyan. She’s praising other people at Bea’s expense.
“So, akala niya magre-react kami para may away. E, hindi kami nagre-react, walang away… Kailangan ba mag-away-away para umingay?
“I’m sorry... that’s old school, does that even work these days? Maybe it worked before, but these days… You know, let’s evolve. Iba na ang panahon ngayon…may social media na.
"Hindi mo na maloloko ang mga tao."
WHAT’S THEIR NEXT MOVE?
Tanong ng PEP.ph: Paano kung sa kabila ng pagsasalita niya ngayon ay hindi pa rin tumigil si Lolit sa pag-atake kay Bea. Ano ang susunod nilang hakbang?
“You know what, it’s no longer on us,” pagkikibit-balikat ni Shirley. “It does not reflect on who we are. It’s now a reflection of who the bully really is.
“She’s validating what I’m saying all along right now. If she continues, that’s fine. Every day, every minute of her life, go ahead.
“Because you’re just validating what I’m saying: You are the biggest bully. And we will not, we will never glorify you. We’ll not give it to you.”
Ang mahalaga raw ay hindi naapektuhan ang career ni Bea sa kabila ng mga atakeng ito. Sa halip ay dumami pa raw ang mga nakaabang na trabaho para sa aktres.
“Not at all. Not at all," sagot ni Shirley sa tanong ng PEP.ph kung naging kabawasan sa career ni Bea ang mga tirada ni Lolit.
"Dumami pa nga yung offers sa amin, e. We have more. She has more endorsements coming. She already shot them.
"So, hindi."
Kasunod nito ay pinuri ni Shirley ang pagkadisente ni Bea sa kabila ng mga ipinupukol dito.
“She’s class personified. If there’s anybody I know that’s class personified, it’s Bea.
"Very decent, very humble.
“And, it goes without saying, she loves her craft. She really enjoys what she’s doing, and she loves it so much.
“She’s protecting it...because she knows she’s here for the long haul.
“She doesn’t wanna give up this world, her world, this business. She loves showbiz so much.
“This is her world."
Dagdag ni Shirley: “No amount of bullying can put her down.
“Do you have any example of bullies na naging successful? Bullies na at the end of the day were ever glorified? Alam ko, wala.”
