Saad niya sa caption (published as is), "It’s like a part of my history has died too.

"Danny once came up to me believing that this one particular song would do wonders for my career.

"I was fairly new in the music industry and I knew nothing about songs that would tickle a young audience’s heart. He knew."

Nagsimula ang kanilang pagkakaibigan noong 1985 nang piliin ni Danny na si Gary ang kumanta sa isa sa kanyang likhang kanta.

Kuwento ni Gary, "So in 1985 he came to me with a song he originally offered the APO Hiking Society but for some reason it didn’t make it to their choices of songs for their next project.

"So there I was in Cinema Audio recording studio, ready to record a song that basically put me on the map of Original Pilipino Music.

"The song catapulted my career to levels that brought me so much closer to the listeners because it ended up becoming my first tagalog recording.

"It became such a big hit that it still remains to be one of the songs that I hear people requesting for during my live concerts today.

"That song was Danny’s DI NA NATUTO."

Sa kabila ng malungkot na balita, punong-puno ng pasasalamat ang puso ni Gary kay Danny sa impact na naibigay nito sa kanyang buhay at karera sa showbiz.

Aniya, "Thank you Danny. You were always fully aware of how much that song impacted my career.

"But you will never know how much your contribution and belief in what I could do with it, has impacted my life.

"Saying thank you is not enough but I think I can perfectly reflect what many of us have felt for you for all the ways you and the APO Hiking Society moved us all."

Dagdag pa niya, "I love you my ka-birthday…my friend. Im glad you have found rest in His peace Danny."
