Walang pagsisisi si James Reid sa mga naging breakup niya dahil ito umano ang humubog sa kanyang pagkatao.
“I just don’t live with regret,” pahayag ng actor-singer sa PEP Live noong December 9, 2022.
Sa isang segment ng interview, naglaro ng “Guilty or Not Guilty” si James at ang kanyang Careless Music artist na si Destiny Rogers.
Isa sa mga naging tanong: “Regretted breaking up with an ex.”
“Not guilty,” sagot ni James.
Paliwanag ng singer-actor, “When you’re feeling lonely after a breakup, like with all the relationships that I’ve had, there’s been moments when I completely question everything.
“When you’re at your low moments, I think that’s also very natural.
“But in the end, I really don’t regret anything. I just don’t live with regret.
“It’s not something I want to have in my life, and everything that happened I’ve had to just accept that it happened.
“And it really shaped who I am. I just don’t want to live with any regret.”
Ang pinakahuling napaulat na nakarelasyon ni James ay si Nadine Lustre. Naghiwalay sila noong 2020 matapos ang dalawang taong relasyon.

LESSONS ABOUT LOVE
Inusisa rin si James kung ano ang mga natutunan niya pagdating sa pag-ibig.
Tugon niya, “It’s a lot of things. What love used to mean to me before was it meant being understood by someone.
“And that has changed a lot over the years, like through relationships.
I also kind of realized being understood by someone and then it turned into a commitment, like that’s what love meant to me, that it’s really a choice.
“So it’s evolving for me and it’s still something I’m learning about every day.
“It’s not so simple, like love is being there for someone… so many things.
“That’s why I love writing about it so much, I feel like I can go on forever.”
