Jake Cuenca on handling his insecurities: "Again, self-believe. I think it's really important for an actor to really believe in himself kasi they're not gonna invest in you if you don't. They're not gonna invest on the timid guy who doesn't know if he's gonna do it or not. They're gonna invest in the guy who is confident and who believes in himself and who can bring something to the table."

"When you feel na nalalaos ka na or people don't care anymore kasi ang bilis ng turnover [sa showbiz], it's very, very fast.

"All actors feel it. I think all actors go through impostor syndrome. We do question kung kaya pa ba namin or we do question if we're gonna perform today."

Paliwanag ni Jake: "Self-believe, I think you have to believe in yourself. What I lean on is my formal training. What I lean towards is to studying more of what I have in front of me.

"Kunwari, I have a TV show, or if I have, let's say a play that's the biggest project ever, there's nothing more important, nothing bigger, nothing smaller in this project.

"When I frame it that way, I don't even feel like parang comparing things in the past or feel like I did bigger before.

"Parang lagi na lang, whatever it may be, whether it's a TV show, a play or a movie, that's the biggest role of my life.

"I mean, I don't know what tomorrow has in store [for me], I could die tomorrow, so this is the performance of a lifetime."

"Me, no, coz I have theater. For me, natatakot lang naman akong mawala lahat ito kasi baka di na ako makaarte," diin niya.

"That's the only thing I am afraid of — na baka di ko na magawa ang pinakamahal kong ginagawa which is to act.

"But the thing is, when I discover the world of theater, then I have this forever. Then I'm never afraid that I'm not gonna act again.

"I'm different from all of them. I'd like to consider myself very different from everyone else. I don't, like, do like what everyone else does, nor I do like to be categorized like everyone else."

ON DEALING WITH INSECURITIES

"I have a lot of insecurities. I have many insecurities," pag-amin ni Jake.

Sabi rin niya: "Again, self-believe. I think it's really important for an actor to really believe in himself kasi they're not gonna invest in you if you don't.

"They're not gonna invest on the timid guy who doesn't know if he's gonna do it or not. They're gonna invest in the guy who is confident and who believes in himself and who can bring something to the table.

"I've been to so many different stints in my career, I've been hated and loved and hated over and over again.
