Kaagad na nilinaw ni Kris Aquino na walang namamagitang romansa sa kanila ni Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste matapos mag-post ng huli tungkol sa kanilang pagkikita.
Sa Instagram kahapon, February 14, 2023, Araw ng mga Puso, ibinahagi ni Mark ang kanyang effort na makita at makasama si Kris na nataon din sa kaarawan ng TV host-actress.
Sabi ng bise gobernador sa kanyang post, kahit milya-milya ang distansiya nila sa isa’t isa, ang mahalaga ay nakagawa siya ng paraan para magkapiling sila ni Kris sa importanteng araw na iyon.
Mensahe ni Mark: “Made it just in time for your birthday and Valentine’s Day.
"It may have taken more than 7k miles to be with you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Although we have been apart, now that we’re together fills my heart.
"It is for this reason my love and my dear you will always and forever feel near.
“Happy Birthday to you and Happy Valentine’s Day to us @krisaquino!”

Dito ay kaagad nagkomento si Kris.
Nais lamang daw niyang maging klaro sa lahat na kahit ikinasiya niya ang mga ginawang sakripisyo ni Mark, pero “best male friend” lamang daw ang turing niya rito.
Saad ni Kris, “May we clarify—together physically in the same place… i appreciate all your effort (through the years) BUT please clarify that we agreed the best foundation for any & all relationships is FRIENDSHIP. i know i state with 100% accuracy, you’re my best male friend.”
Sa birthday post ni Kris noong February 13, si Mark pala ang tinutukoy niyang isa sa kanyang matibay na sandigan o support system na “a very determined man of your word to fly 13 hours each way to spend a few days with me on my birthday. For his effort i am GRATEFUL…”

Samantala, bukod sa paglipad ni Mark sa California para makasama si Kris, nagpagawa pa ito ng isang short documentary tungkol sa buhay ng TV host-actress.
