“Yeah, I’m very grateful and happy to be back sa Iron Heart,” sambit ni Baron sa taping nitong Marso 7, 2023, Martes, sa The Dales at Terracotta Manor, Brgy. Bonbon, Cebu City.
“Kanina nagkita kami ni Jake [Cuenca]. Every time we see each other like brothers. I just love also working with Richard.
“All the actors here are very professional and… ang gaan! Ang gaan ng set!”
Walang attitude! Walang pasaway!
Pag-ayon ni Baron, “Yeah, yeah, everyone’s so humble. Like, yung first week ko with them, I got to bond. Para siyang actors’ circle.
“Kami ni Jake, Tito Albert [Martinez], and everyone. We were talking about acting, and the books that we read.
“And it’s such a good experience to bond in between takes wherein I get to learn from my co-actors not just about acting but about life as well.
“So it’s an interesting beautiful experience, lalo na we’re shooting here in Cebu, it’s my hometown now. Yung bahay from the location, it’s just like 36 minutes away.
“Everything is near from my place, and I love Cebu. And I’m happy na all the actors and people here are embracing Cebu as well.
“And ine-embrace na rin sila ng mga Cebuanos. The good thing about, yun nga, attitude ng mga actors dito, nakuha nila yung puso ng mga Cebuanos.
“Kasi ang mga Cebuanos, they don’t like attitude. So swak, swak! Kaya suportado ng mga Cebuanos ang Iron Heart.”
Ikinukunsidera na ni Baron ang sarili bilang Cebuano, at natagpuan niya sa Cebu ang paraiso.
TABING-ILOG REUNION
Iyong Tabing-Ilog reunion project na gusto nilang gawin, kailan pa kaya iyon if ever? Matatagalan pa?!
“How I wish! Pero I think meron sa MAVX ngayon, si Paolo [Contis], si Kaye [Abad] and si Patrick Garcia,” pagbabalita ni Baron.
“Sila yung nagkasama, but hopefully, you know, mag-align yung stars naming Tabing Ilog cast.”
Ang co-stars nila sa Tabing Ilog na si John Lloyd Cruz, love din ang Cebu…
“Yeah. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Yeah… parang hindi na yata ngayon, joke! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” pagbibiro ni Baron.
Mas nae-enjoy ba niya ngayon to do television than movies or Vivamax?
“I enjoy both. Uy! I wanna just say pala, I’m very grateful kay Boss Vic [del Rosario], and kay Ms. Veronique Corpus, all of them, lahat sa Viva.
“I’m grateful because binigyan po nila ako ng napakagandang chance to work with Cristine Reyes. Next month we’re filming a movie sa Subic with the director of Doll House, si Marla Ancheta.
“This will be my biggest challenge. Parang pang-Netflix po ito. Pangalawa ko sa Netflix, and then may pangatlo pa. Let’s see lang.”
GRADUATE FROM...

“Bisyo?” sundot ni Baron.
Sa Vivamax, sa mga mapangahas o erotikong pelikula ng Vivamax.
Napangiti si Baron, “Ahh akala ko… hindi, kasi ang Vivamax, parang bisyo, e! O, di ba?! Ang hirap pigilan!”

“Oo naman! Magagaling sila and I am still supporting Vivamax. Kasi kung walang Vivamax, hindi nila mabubuo — ganoon kahenyo si Boss Vic [del Rosario] — hindi nila mabubuo ang Viva Prime,” lahad ni Baron.
“So they’re worth billions and billions now, no, yung Vivamax alone. Let’s look forward. And they have mga best actor award.
“So anyway, yung sa akin lang, I’m looking forward sa other great movies na lalabas at gagawin ng Viva Prime.
“I also wanna thank Ms. June Rufino, all of the big bosses sa Viva, kasi… nakakaiyak itong pelikulang ito, itong gagawin namin ni Cristine.
“I play her husband… I mean, something like that. Hindi siya typical na script ng Pilipino, even the lines. Matataas, mahaba and it’s very relatable.
“So this movie is something to look forward.”
Iyong performance niya sa Doll House, andaming pumuri. One of the best last year.
“Yeah, that’s why nape-pressure po ako pero nag-meeting kami ni Direk Marla and ni Ms. Amy, our writer, and the producers,” saad ni Baron.
“And sabi nila, ‘Baron, kaya mo yan. Relax lang.’ So ngayon pa lang, pinag-aaralan ko na po.”
