The newest boy group of SBTown (Show Biz Town) Philippines is here and ready to take the music industry by storm!

PLUUS, consisting of Theo, Gab, Justin, Yen, Haro, and JL, made their debut in the Pinoy-Pop (P-Pop) scene during their 3-in-1 debut showcase on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati.

The six-piece boy group proved their four years of extensive training and preparation were worth it with their jaw-dropping performances of “Cross My Heart,” “My Time,” “Missing You,” and “Amigo.”

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Gab shared that during their training years, the members struggled to perfect their synchronization in dancing and singing.

He said, "Sa dance po, nag-two thousand runs po kami bawat song po namin. Nakakapagod, as in."

To overcome these challenges, the group directed their efforts towards enhancing their teamwork via collaboration.

Justin mentioned, "When it comes to working together, the honest answer is [there is] always gonna be struggle, [there is] always gonna be like ideas going against each other.

"'One is gonna be better than this. One is gonna be better than that.' And [that is] why we create stronger [bonds] while we disagree and then agree."

According to JL, open communication lines within the group was also beneficial in enhancing their performance.

THE MEANING OF PLUUS

PLUUS received training from SBTown CEO Geong Seong Han (a.k.a. Tatang Robin) and SBTalent Camp Trainer Adie Hong (a.k.a. Hongganda).

Both Tatang Robin and Hongganda are credited for the success of the P-Pop group SB19.

The new P-Pop group PLUUS is also co-managed by Kathleen Dy-Go of Universal Records.

JL shared that the group's name, PLUUS, which is a blend of "PLUS" and "US," was coined by Tatang Robin.

JL further explained the story behind their group's name to PEP.ph and GMA Hearts of Asia.

He said, "Meaning po, gusto po naming maging addition sa mga tao and vice versa po...

"Gusto po naming maging addition yung mga tao po sa amin.

"And the reason po why we have two U’s po in our group name po is because we want to emphasize po that you are the center po of our everything.

"And siyempre po, it can also [mean positivity] po… We want to spread positivity through our music po."
