Former beauty queen/athlete Michelle Gumabao was surprised to discover that even soliciting alms in Singapore has gone high-tech.
On April 5, 2023, Michele took to Twitter to share her surprising encounter with a beggar who gave her the option to make a digital cash transfer when she stated that she didn't have any cash on hand.
"May nanlimos dito sa SG, sabi ko sorry no cash. Pinakitaan ako ng barcode," the 30-year-old former Binibining Pilipinas Globe titleholder wrote before adding a fearful face emoji.
Michele's post about her encounter with the high-tech beggar received similar reactions from her followers, who commented that it was "next level panlilimos."
Michele and her boyfriend Aldo Panlilio arrived in Singapore last April 4, 2023, for some rest and relaxation during the Holy Week break.
Based on their Instagram posts, the couple has already visited Universal Studios Singapore, Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, and New Hawker Centre, among many others.
