Labis-labis ang kalungkutang nadarama ng tinaguriang “Mario’s Angels” sa pagpanaw ng beteranong entertainment reporter na si Mario Dumaual.
Kabilang sa tinaguriang "Mario's Angels" ay ang mga kasamahan niyang Star Patrollers sa TV Patrol na sina Gretchen Fullido at Ganiel Krishnan, pati na ang dating showbiz reporter na si Ginger Conejero.
Si Mario ay itinuturing na institusyon sa showbiz reporting. Siya ay pumanaw dahil sa septic shock kahapon, July 5, 2023. Siya ay 64.

Sa pamamagitan ng social media ay inihayag nina Gretchen, Ganiel, at Ginger ang kanilang saloobin tungkol sa pagpanaw ng itinuturing nilang mentor.
GRETCHEN FULLIDO
Ayon kay Gretchen, malaki ang utang na loob niya kay Mario dahil sa paggiya nito sa kanya noong nagsimula siya sa TV Patrol taong 2008.
Mensahe niya, “Tito / Lolo Mario, I will forever be grateful that you mentored & guided me when I entered the entertainment beat (Star Patrol) in 2008 in ABS-CBN for TV Patrol.
“Passion, perseverance, dedication and excellence in our occupation is what I will always bring with me for the rest of my days.
“Your generosity with stories & coverages and your tough love helped me grow to become the journalist & person that I am today.”
Hindi pa rin daw siya makapaniwalang wala na ito, ngunit alam niyang mananatili ang magandang alaala niya kasama ang dating katrabaho.
Umaasa si Gretchen na makakagawa siya ng mga bagay-bagay na ikaka-proud ni Mario.
Aniya, “I still can’t believe that you’re gone but all the memories will remain in my heart.
“You are and forever will be the one and only Mario Dumaual that shaped Philippine entertainment news… and I will forever be inspired by your legacy.

Hindi rin makapaniwala si Ganiel na pumanaw na si Mario.
Mami-miss daw niya ang pangungulit nito tuwing may coverage siya at ang pangangamusta nito tuwing mayroon siyang problema.
Saad niya, “Tito Mario, I still can’t believe you’re gone.
“Mamimiss ko mga 2am pangungulit mo pag alam mong nasa labas pa ako covering an event or simpleng pangangamusta mo sa akin pag alam mong im not okay.
“The impact you had on my life is immeasurable, and I am eternally grateful for the moments we shared together.
“Sobrang dami nun tito, including the first time you interviewed me and asked kung gusto ko ba maging ABS-CBN Reporter then we saw each other inside the newsroom a year after that interview and you were so happy for me.
“Tito Mar, you touched the lives of so many, including mine, and your memory will be forever etched in our hearts.”
Nagpasalamat naman si Ganiel kay Mario dahil hindi lamang katrabaho ang turing nito sa kanya kundi kaibigan na din.
Alam daw niya gagabayan siya ni Mario kahit wala na ito.
Aniya, “Thank you for the friendship, for all the laughter, and for pushing me to be the best version of myself kahit pa nga napagalitan na ako ng boss natin at napaka kulit ko daw sa tanong (you would be laughing at this again kung marinig mo)

GINGER CONEJERO
Matagal nagkasama sina Mario at Ginger sa TV Patrol.
Pero taong 2015, nilisan ni Ginger ang news program at lumipad patungong San Francisco, California, kung saan isa na siyang news reporter ng NBC Bay Area.
Hindi pa rin daw maproseso ni Ginger ang balita.
Maiksing post niya, “Still processing. I can’t seem to wrap my mind around it.
“My heart goes out to your family - Mrs. D, the kids and your beautiful apos. I wish I could pay my respects and say goodbye in person.
“The memories have hit hard today - there are so many of them.

Magsisimula ang lamay kay Mario sa Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium sa 25 Commonwealth Avenue, Matandang Balara, Quezon City, ngayong Huwebes ng hapon, July 6, 2023.
Nakatakda naman ang paglilibing sa kanyang mga labi sa Loyola Memorial Park, Marikina City, sa Linggo, July 9.
