Muling nagmamahal si Jake Cuenca matapos nitong kumpirmahin, sa pamamagitan ng isang Instagram post noong Abril 2022, na hiwalay na sila ng dating karelasyong si Kylie Verzosa.

Ang Kapamilya actress na si Chie Filomeno ang bagong inspirasyon ni Jake.

Nang makausap ng entertainment press si Jake noong Sabado, Setyembre, 23, 2023, ni-reveal nitong ang former Pinoy Big Brother housemate at GirlTrends member ang kanyang "the one who got away" dahil nag-date na sila noon.
“In so many ways, she’s kinda like the one who got away from me kasi we dated na before, a long time ago.
“She was in It’s Showtime na, she was already dancing in Showtime. But then, nahinto the first time.
"For me, given the second time around, parang I don’t wanna let her go,” simula ng paglalahad ni Jake tungkol sa muling pagtatagpo ng landas nila ni Chie sa panahong hindi siya naghahanap ng bagong makakarelasyon pagkatapos ng breakup nila ni Kylie.
Ikinuwento ni Jake na siya ang naglakas-loob lapitan si Chie nang magkita sila sa Christmas Ball ng Star Magic na ginanap sa Sheraton Manila Hotel noong November 27, 2022.
Ikinumpara ni Jake sa isang eksena mula sa pelikula ang kanilang pagtatagpo.
“I went up to her, naglakas-loob ako. It was the Christmas Ball of Star Magic.
"It was not the plan, it’s biglaan talaga. It felt like something from a movie.
“I have so many things to do that day. I went to The Eddys with Ma’am Charo [Santos-Concio]. Ang dami kong ginawa.
"And again, I was just gonna go to the Ball just to give my respect to Direk Lauren Dyogi, say hi to the bosses and get out of there.
“That was my thing naman, but I saw her so I stayed. It felt like it something from a movie,” ganadung-ganadong pagkukuwento ni Jake tungkol sa babaeng muling nagpatibok ng kanyang puso.
Si Chie rin ang nag-iisang dahilan kaya dadalo si Jake sa ABS-CBN Ball na idaraos sa Shangri-La Makati sa Sabado, Setyember 30, 2023.
“I’m excited for it, that’s for sure. I am certainly… I’m only going for one person really. I am only attending this thing for one person.
“I am happy for ABS, we have that Ball again. We haven’t seen each other, everyone's gonna get to socialize.
"But for me, I only really have one reason to go."
WHAT JAKE LIKES ABOUT CHIE
Inisa-isa ni Jake ang magagandang katangian ni Chie na natuklasan niya mula nang mangyari ang Star Magic Christmas Ball na instrumento ng pagsisimula ng kanilang pinahahalagahang relasyon.
“I do appreciate a lot of things about her," sabi ni Jake.
"For me, what I really find beautiful about her is her journey. I’ve been in the industry for twenty-two years. I know how difficult it is.
“I know how discouraging the industry can be so you have to have, like, unwavering self-belief. She has that.
“To see her get what she’s getting now, achieve what she’s achieving, parang it makes me so proud.
“I met her when she was just starting tapos nakita ko how patient she was, and that’s not common. Hindi common yon sa industry. A lot of people quit.
“Siya, she stayed. Kaya parang, for me, a small of a woman she is, she’s really larger than life.
“To be honest, her personality is really something else and I can’t wait for people to see that.”
Sa tanong tungkol sa posibilidad na magkasama sila ni Chie sa mga proyekto, romantiko ang naging sagot ni Jake.
Aniya, “I am working with her even if we’re not on-screen.
“We’ve seen this before, like, we’ve seen couples on screen. But for me, what’s more meaningful or what’s more sincere when it comes to me and her is maybe the things I do behind the scenes.
“It’s maybe when I help her with her life. When I help her read the script or like when I have to read the other guy’s lines for her, so it’s harder ‘coz she’s so willing to learn.
“So eager and optimistic to learn. Parang I don’t mind sharing her my knowledge,” sagot ni Jake.
Hindi itinago ni Jake ang espesyal na nararamdaman para kay Chie na halos kapareho niya ang ugali.
“The thing is we’re both workaholic. We’re both really ambitious.
"With her, I know what she’s been through so it’s important for me to help her make her dreams come true.
“Yes, I have strong feelings for her. I am very attracted to her, pero I really wanna see her make her dreams come true,” saad niya.
