Nagdesisyon si Kirk Bondad na manatili munang single dahil pakiramdam niya ay unfair sa babae kung makikipagrelasyon siya sa puntong ito ng kanyang buhay.
Si Kirk, isang Filipino-German, ay modelo at reigning Mr. World Philippines. Nakababatang kapatid siya ng model-turned-actor na si Clint Bondad.
“I'm single. I like my single life right now. It gives me a lot of room to grow,” pahayag ni Kirk sa exclusive interview ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) noong September 21, 2023.
Itinutuon daw ni Kirk ang kanyang atensiyon sa mga obligasyon niya bilang titleholder at sa mga trabaho niya.
“I see a lot of love with the work that I do. But not only with that, but also with my friendships that I have.
“And I couldn't be bothered. But I'm happy. I'm happy and I'm well,” saad niya.
Pabor din daw sa kanyang hindi muna pumasok sa isang relasyon.
Paliwanag niya, “I wouldn't say it's a distraction.
"It wouldn't be fair to the female that I would be in a relationship with. Simply because my life is very demanding, time-consuming.
“And from my side, I wouldn't be the partner that I wish I can be, simply because of the time commitment.”
Bukod daw kasi sa demands ng kanyang titulo, nais ni Kirk na handa siya kung sakaling magkaroon na ng schedule ang susunod na Mr. World pageant.
Mayo ng kasalukuyang taon nang ianunsiyo ni Kirk ang breakup nila ni Miss Eco International 2022 Kathleen Paton.
Sa kanyang IG account, kinumpirma ni Kirk na mutual ang desisyon nila ni Kathleen na maghiwalay.
Magkaibigan pa ba sila ng dating kasintahan?
“I wouldn't say friends. We have a healthy connection. I would say that,” sagot ni Kirk.
Nang ibunyag nila ang kanilang breakup, ang tanging sinabi ni Kirk ay “best thing for us” ang desisyong maghiwalay.

kirk on being a PUBLIC FIGURE
Hindi rin nababahala si Kirk sa opinyon ng publiko sa kanya.
Bilang isang public figure, may mga pagkakataong nadadawit si Kirk sa mga isyu.
Iniugnay pa siya noon sa Miss Universe Organization owner, ang Thai businesswoman na si Anne Jakrajutatip, pero hindi apektado si Kirk.

Sabi niya, “I cannot be bothered. I cannot be bothered with other people's opinions. I have a core value, and this is always… be authentic to yourself.
“Be honest to yourself, because if you're honest to yourself, you're honest to your surroundings as well.
“And I have no time to focus on all the talk. I just focus on what I can control, and this is where I flourish.”
Hindi raw niya hinahayaang mabagabag ang sarili tungkol sa opinyon sa kanya ng ibang tao. Dahil nasa showbiz industry siya, meron at merong masasabi ukol sa kanya.
Kaya pinapanatili raw niyang matibay ang kanyang pagkatao para hindi siya maapektuhan sa ingay ng iba.
“If I would just put out a facade, if I just fake my personality, I would just break down in a matter of two or three years.
“I'm not bothered by the fact that people want to put me sometimes into a box, and that's alright.
“I'm not a judgmental person, so let them speak, I do my stuff,” pahayag ni Kirk.
