Miss Earth 2023 promises to be a spectacular showcase!

Vietnam is hosting the pageant's 23rd edition from December 1 to 20, 2023.

The country's bet is Yllana Marie Aduana, a licensed medical laboratory scientist and drug analyst.

MISS EARTH 2023 DETAILS

MISS EARTH 2023 DATE AND VENUE

The 23rd edition of the Miss Earth pageant is scheduled to take place on December 22, 2023, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Mina Sue Choi from South Korea will relinquish her title to the new winner.

The streaming of the coronation will be via Miss Earth's official page.

VOTING FOR BEST APPEARANCE

Fans were given the chance to vote for the candidate whose advocacy resonates with them.

  • Visit the Facebook fan pages of TNA Entertainment, Miss Earth Vietnam, Miss Earth, and Eventista.
  • One react for the photo of the candidate is equal to one point.
  • One public share for each candidate is equal to three points.
  • The voting period is from December 4, 2023 (6:00 PM) to December 8, 2023 (6:00 PM), GMT +7.
  • The top five candidates to receive the highest scores will have the opportunity to double their voting points for one day. This gives them the chance to advance to the next round of the Miss People's Choice award.
  • Awarding for Miss People's Choice award is on December 8, 2023.

JUDGES

These are the judges who were introduced during the Tree Talk event hosted by Miss Philippines Earth 2007 Jeanne Harn.

  • Mika Vanhanen is a pioneer in digital education. He is also the founder of ENO, a community network and global school, and an advocate for global tree planting.
  • Jesson Capuchino is a fashion educator of Sashes and Scripts. He also specializes in sustainability.
  • Jay Barbo is a pageant media personality and CEO of Pageant Trend. He is also a social media influencer.
  • Arvin Cabachete is the founder and administrator of Entertainment News Portal. He is also a certified public accountant.
  • Lisa Song Sutton is a beauty queen-influencer and an entrepreneur.
  • Mel Caparas is a pageant chronicler since 2000. He is the owner and founder of Pageant Chronicle.

SCHEDULE OF MISS EARTH 2023 ACTIVITIES

The journey to the crown is paved with various events and activities designed to highlight the contestants' dedication to environmental causes and their ability to inspire change.

Candidates are set to participate in environmental seminars, a tree-planting activity, and community service projects, to showcase their commitment to Miss Earth's advocacy.

The pre-pageant activities also include cultural exchanges and various competitions.

Delegates have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Vietnam's rich heritage, fostering mutual understanding and respect among the diverse participants.

These are the line-up of events:

  • November 28 : arrival of candidates in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam
  • November 29: social media interviews
  • November 30: candidates' shoot at Wink Hotels
  • December 1 : candidates were busy fitting their pageant outfits
  • December 2: rehearsal for the HCMC Tourism Week Opening
  • December 3: "Xin Chao Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam," where "Xin Chao" means hello in Vietnamese; Blue Carpet event, held at Saigon Opera House. Candidates; face off at the long gown competition at 3:00 to 4:30 PM GMT+7, immediately followed by the host country welcome at 4:30 to 5:00 PM GMT+7; last engagement of the day is a Vietnamese cultural show at 5:00 to 6:00 PM GMT +7
  • December 4 to 10: Tourism Week for the candidates
  • December 5 and 6: candidates' photo shoot
  • December 7: EcoTourism Advocacy Activities
  • December 9: University Tour
  • December 10: Closing ceremony of the HCMC Tourism Week
  • December 11 : Vietnamese Cooking Class
  • December 12: Talent competition
  • December 13 and 14: Candidates' rehearsal for the preliminary competition
  • December 15 : eco-activities at the Vietnam Waste Solution Factory.
  • December 16: National Costume and Swimsuit competitions
  • December 17: Harper's Bazaar Vietnam exhibition
  • December 18 and 19: final show rehearsals
  • December 22: grand finals and the coronation night happening at Van Phuc City.

TREE TALK

Tree Talk took placefrom November 23 to 26, 2023, at around 8:00 PM GMT/UTC +8 (same time in the Philippines).

In this prelimary event, contestants were asked to provide virtual presentations of parts of their lives, their respective countries, and their advocacies and future plans.

Tree Talk consisted of three episodes that discussed each delegate's piece. Based on what the candidates presented, netizens have the power to vote for the contestant and the advocacy that speaks to them the most.

The scores from the judges and the online votes based on this preliminary event partly determine who wins the crown.
