In a statement, ABS-CBN expressed grief while paying tribute to the significant contributions of Jake and Deo to the organization's growth throughout their tenure.
FROM BATTLEFIELD TO BOARDROOM
Jake was a decorated war hero who fought for the country during World War II.
He later joined ABS-CBN in 1961 before assuming the role of general manager in 1966.
Jake's role in shaping ABS-CBN's identity cannot be understated.
He led the network's transition in 1967 from being called Bolinao Electronics to ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation.
Jake, who was also a lawyer, oversaw the construction of the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center that same year.
ABS-CBN's statement described Jake as the "soul" of the organization who "dedicated many years to building and rebuilding" the network alongside founder Geny Lopez.
The statement further reads, "His life was a testament to service, both on the battlefield and as a Kapamilya leader, serving his country and contributing greatly to ABS-CBN's success."
Jake once again demonstrated his love for the company he helped build when he testified in Congress during the hearing for ABS-CBN's franchise renewal bid in 2020.

Just last year in June, Jake, along with 40 other war veterans, was bestowed the US Congressional Gold Medal for his bravery and loyalty during the war.
Jake was 95 years old at the time of his passing.
EXCEPTIONAL STORYTELLER
ABS-CBN likewise paid tribute to Roldeo "Deo" Endrinal, 60, head of Dreamscape Entertainment in charge of producing program content for the network.
"A well-loved Kapamilya leader and an exceptional storyteller behind some of the most memorable and groundbreaking shows on Philippine television. The programs he produced have touched the lives of Filipinos worldwide," said the statement.
Some of the hit shows that Deo and his team have produced include ASAP, The Buzz, Game Ka Na Ba?, Mula Sa Puso, The General's Daughter, and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, among many others.

"Deo’s creative brilliance, passion for storytelling, and commitment to excellence are reflected in his works since his beginnings as a writer and producer for the company.
"His warmth, generosity, and dedication have endeared him to many."
ABS-CBN believes that Deo's contributions to show business will always be remembered.
In closing, the network told Deo, "Forever ka naming Kapamilya! Mahal na mahal ka namin!"
