Inamin ni Heart Evangelista, 39, na may pagkakataon sa buhay-mag-asawa nila ni Senator Chiz Escudero, 54, na hindi sila nagkakaintindihan.
Ipinaliwanag ng aktres na malaking factor ang kanilang age gap kaya noong nagsisimula pa lang ang kanilang relasyon ay mas si Chiz ang nasusunod sa kanilang relasyon.
Sinabi ito ni Heart sa GCash Spotlight interview ni Heart sa TV host na si Boy Abunda, na bahagi ng media launch para sa paglunsad kay Heart bilang ambassador ng mobile payments service app.
Ginanap ang event, na dinaluhan ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), piling press at influencers, sa Shooting Gallery Studios sa Makati City noong Huwebes, February 8, 2024.
Tanong ni Boy kay Heart, "When do you guys know when to listen and when to speak?"
"I used to be very mute before because I trust him a lot," pag-amin ni Heart.
Kung may hindi man sila pagkakasunduan, hindi raw nababago ang sitwasyon dahil hindi niya nasasabi ang saloobin niya.
"Before I would just listen to him until I kinda grew up as well. I was 30 when I married him.
"But we're ever changing. We're ever evolving."
Dumating daw sa puntong nagkakaroon sila ng hindi pagkakaunawaan.
"So there was a time we kinda clashed.
"I saw this thing on Instagram, it says, 'Why do people scream at each other? It's because even if they're so close to each other, they can't hear each other.'
"So, I think there was a time it was like that."
Natuto raw si Heart na panindigan ang sarili.
"But I found my voice. I think I went over and beyond a little bit.
"But now, there are a lot of things that happen in a marriage that when he needs to speak, I listen. And when I need to speak, he listens.
"There's no more debate kasi he's a lawyer. Hindi ka talaga mananalo," napapangiting pag-amin ni Heart.
Sabi pa niya, "Before, walkout talaga ako.
"Now he listens, and I love it because we understand each other."
Walang eksaktong petsang binanggit si Heart, pero noong August to December 2022, makailang-beses naging tampok ng espekulasyon ang napabalitang marital problem nina Heart and Chiz.
May 2023 nang aminin ni Heart na may pinagdaanan silang mag-asawa, pero nilinaw din niyang nanaig ang pagmamahal at suporta nila sa isa't isa.

ON "LOSING HER BALANCE"
Ayon pa kay Heart, hindi madali para sa kanya ang makamit ang balanced life na mayroon siya ngayon.
Kinailangan daw niyang matuto kung paano mawala sa kanyang comfort zone.
"You have to lose your balance. You have to fall many times. You have to be, like, close to a murdered soul for you to be able to...
"Because my problem was, ever since before, I always needed someone to keep me balanced.
"I always needed people around me to make me feel complete. I know that sounds so, you know, like, whatever.
"But it's true. I couldn't be alone."
Patuloy niya, "And so there was a time—I barely spoke about it—but you know, marriage is hard.
"And I felt like I wanted to do things on my own. I dont need anyone. And it has taken me to certain paths that I'm not proud of but I'm not also ashamed of.
"But because of those [experiences] and you lost your balance, I found my balance.
"I can stand on my own, and I will fight to be on my own. Nobody's gonna be pushed.
"I may a bit trip, but I will stand up. It's all part of the story."

Napagtanto rin daw ni Heart na tanging pamilya ang maaasahan niyang magiging tapat sa kanya hanggang sa huli.
"When you have moments that you have a lot, you just want real friends, it's hard.
"And you feel like you're so misunderstood.
"But at the end of the day, you go back to your family, and that should be enough.
"We're not here in this world to impress people and to be a superstar.
"You just be yourself. If people love you, then they love you. If they don't, then they don't

ON CHIZ BEING SUPPORTIVE OF HEART
Pagdating kay Chiz, na-appreciate daw ni Heart ang adjustment ng mister na mas kilalanin siya sa mundong ginagalawan bilang fashion influencer sa Paris.
"He goes to Fashion Week. Who would have thought he'd go to Fashion Week?
"He learned how to take pictures. Before, pag pinipiktyuran niya ako, mga in between shots, nakapikit.
"Now, it's, like, he studied it.
"It's so nice because I feel like I've also bloomed as a person when he was supportive as well."
Na-appreciate na rin daw ni Chiz ang pananamit mula sa luxury brands.
"I do buy clothes for him. He loves Zara. I love Zara, too.
"Pero first time niya nagsuot ng YSL. Sabi niya, 'Parang ang laki ng katawan ko dito, Love.' 'Sabi ko sa yo!'
"Yun ang lagi ko prize, gift sa kanya. I'll always give him a set na suit whenever he's with me at Fashion Week.
"Ang gift naman siya sa akin, nag-iiwan siya ng mga nakaluto na sardines na naka-glass jar para meron kaming kakainin for the next how many days when he leaves us. May kaldereta and everything."
Nakatakdang mag-renew ng wedding vows sina Heart at Chiz.
Sa February 15 ang ninth wedding anniversary ng couple, at sa February 14 naman ay 39th birthday ni Heart.
