Martin Javier and Kevin Ty jauntily recalled on social media their fates as the unchosen ones in the "EXpecially For You" segment of It's Showtime during its debut at GMA-7 on April 6, 2024, with Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee as that day's searcher.
The two were reunited during the unveiling of Master of G: MUDMAN, a partnership between G-shock and Team Land Cruiser Toyota, on April 18, 2024. at SM Megamall.
Martin, a GMA Synergy sportscaster, was the event's host.
Kevin, a content creator, was there too as one of the guests eyeing the set of athleisure-fit watches from the collaboration.
Together, they struck a pose for a photo which was then uploaded on Martin's social media accounts.
Martin playfully wrote, "Ang mga hindi pinili."
On Kevin's end, he posted an Instagram reel of both them grabbing a bite during the event with the caption, "Kamusta kaya yung date ng friends natin?"

Martin and Kevin as searchees
Looking back to the luckless appearance of Martin and Kevin as potential dates for Michelle in that particular episode of "Expecially For You," it was the Cebu-based lawyer Oliver Moeller, the third contender, who emerged the chosen one.
In this game, a searcher sits down, her back turned to the three searchees, and asks them three questions. She then gives a green flag to the searchee whose answer she prefers best.
By the end of the Q&A session, the searchee with the most green flags wins a date with the searcher.
This was how it went with Michele, Martin, Kevin, and Oliver during their session:
Question #1
Michele's first question after the men introduced themselves, "Anong gagawin mo kung ayaw ng nanay mo sa nanay ko?"
Kevin: "Yung mga moms kasi may mga activities silang favorite na lang gawin, di ba?
"So, hahanapin ko kung ano yung mga hobbies nila or favorite activities. So, in my case, yung mom ko, mahilig mag-pray, tas mahilig din mag-shopping.
"So, gagawa ako ng day na talagang makapag-pray sila together and then makapag-shopping.
"Siyempre, iti-treat ko rin sila kung ano yung mga gusto nila during that day. And then, yun, makapag-bond sila and, hopefully, magiging friends sila after that."
Martin: "Alam ko kasi yung gano'n kahalaga si Ms. Melanie kay Michelle. Tapos, sobrang halaga din sa akin ng mom ko.
"So, parang kay Kevin din, pipilitin ko na magkaroon sila ng mas marami pang time mag-usap saka mag-bonding.
"Kasi baka initial lang naman yung pagka-ayaw niya, yung first impression lang naman yung ayaw niya. Baka pag mas malalim na yung usapan nila, magustuhan nila yung isa't isa.
"Kung hindi man, hindi ko naman ipipilit. At least ang goal ko siguro, maging civil sila sa isa't isa."
Oliver, mentioning Melanie Marquez, mom of Michele: "I think yung gawin ko, I'll ask them both to spend time together.
"I know my mom. I love my mom. She's a very lovable person. Tsaka si Ma'am Melanie, I'm pretty sure she's a lovable person.
"Understanding din ako na paminsan, magka-clash talaga yung personalities ng mga tao.
"And, since love is all about sacrifice, that's what I think. I think maybe both of them can sacrifice to at least keep it civil. Hopefully, para may future kami, possibly."
Oliver got his first green flag.
Question #2
Michelle's next question: "If you would be given a chance na may ipagpabawal sa akin, ano yun at bakit?"
Kevin: "Si Michelle, hindi ko siya papayagang umuwi nang late. Kasi gusto ko, ako yung magsusundo sa kanya.
"Kahit anong oras yan, after work, I'll be there para safe siya pauwi."
Martin's answer that impressed Michele: "Pagbabawal ko na, ilimit niya yung sarili niya sa career kahit nasa in a relationship.
"Kasi alam natin yung potential ni Michelle. So, gusto ko, kahit nasa relationship, hindi mapipigilan yung mga ginagawa niya.
"Kumbaga, mayroon pa rin understanding dun sa mga ginagawa ng both parties."
Oliver, revving up his streak of good impression from the crowd: "I guess, I would never ask her to stop chasing her dreams, even if that means we would spend less time together.
"I understand how important her goals are for her, her career. So, I could never ask her to make that sort of sacrifice.
"Because I believe that a relationship should add to your life and not take away from it."
Martin earned a green flag in this round.
Question #3
Michelle's final question, "Kung artista ang girlfriend mo, kaya mo bang mapanood na may ka-kissing or love scene siya?"
Kevin: "Yes, siyempre. Yung mga pelikula natin, yung mga TV shows and movies, lahat iyan, art naman iyan.
"And they're doing that for the art and for the fans, especially, di ba? So, dun magiging masaya yung mga tao.
"So, if they're bringing joy to the whole nation, e, di go ako dun.
He added, "Siyempre, movie niya yon, pinaghirapan niya. So, papanoorin ko talaga every second ng movie niya."
Martin: "Yes, papayagan ko. Pero, pag pinapanood ko na, pipikit ako nang konti dun sa kissing scene.
"Kasi may ano pa rin, may konting siyempre, may effect. Maapektuhan ka pa rin. Pero, papayagan ko pa rin."
Oliver: "Kayang-kaya naman. I fully understand na kasama naman yan sa showbiz, yung kissing scenes.
"And I'm confident in myself. I'm secure in myself din naman. I fully believe na malakas naman talaga yung foundation ng relationship ng girlfriend ko.
"So, I shouldn't be worried about a kissing scene with someone else because I know that that's just part of her job."
After deliberating, Michelle ultimately gave the last green flag to Oliver, signifying his win and the chance to go on a date with the beauty queen.
