Renowned voice artist and puppeteer Priscila Rose Nalundasan, popularly known as Manang Bola from the beloved children's show Batibot, passed away at the age of 60.
Bodjie Pascua, her fellow co-star in Batibot, officially announced the heartbreaking news through a Facebook post on the evening of Friday, May 10, 2024.
In his post, he wrote, published as is: "Heartbroken to find out that Priscila Rose Nalundasan, our dearest Manang Bola, passed away this morning.
"Love you, dear friend. Sobra kitang mami-miss Rose. Rest in peace."
Priscila's son Jaymar Nalundasan also took to Facebook to honor his mother.
He expressed, "Kahit kailan hindi namin ikinahiya kung gaano namin kamahal ang mga magulang namin. Hindi magiging sapat lahat ng nagawa namin para sa kanila. Panghihinayang na lang sa mga hindi pa nagagawa. Gusto ko lang po magsabog ng pagmamahal sa gitna ng napakatinding kalungkutan. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagmamahal din sa mga magulang namin."
In a short chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Facebook Messenger, Jaymar confirmed that his mom passed away on Friday due to "health complications."
Her famous line in the children's show—"Perlas na bilog, wag kang tutulug-tulog, sabihin sa akin ang sagot. Ba-be-bi-bo-bu."— will always stir nostalgia among kids who grew up in the '80s and '90s.
Priscilla had remained a prominent figure in the entertainment industry over the years.
Among her recent projects was the 2022 film Day Zero, headlined by Brandon Vera, Pepe Herrera, and Mary Jean Lastimosa.
Additionally, in the same year, she co-hosted Mang Lalakbay, the country's pioneering educational travel show for children, alongside Manny Urbano and Vic Robinson.
In 2023 when she made a memorable appearance on an episode of GMA-7's Family Feud, sharing the screen with Bodjie, Soliman Cruz, and Adriana Agcaoili.
