A-Lister Bea Alonzo got briefly reunited with her former ABS-CBN bosses at the GMA Gala 2024.
It was the second time that the top ABS-CBN executives attended the annual gathering of Kapuso stars, held at Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday night, July 20, 2024.
The Kapamilya executives included chairman Mark Lopez, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, and chief operating officer of broadcast Cory Vidanes.
While the party was on full swing at the grand ballroom, Bea was spotted approaching the table of her former bosses.
She warmly hugged Lopez, Vidanes, and Katigbak, who amiably stood up and exchanged pleasantries with her.
They were all smiles when they were photographed as a group.

Bea is a homegrown talent of ABS-CBN for 20 years.

She no longer has an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN when she transferred to GMA-7 in July 2021.

BEA AND VICE WITH ABS-CBN TOP EXECS AND GMA-7 BOSS
At a separate encounter at this year's GMA Gala, Bea and her former ABS-CBN bosses were also spotted taking a selfie with It's Showtime host Vice Ganda and GMA-7's Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
Atty. Gozon-Valdes is GMA Network senior vice president for programming, talent management, worldwide and support group. She is also president and CEO of GMA Pictures.
Such fun interactions between stars and personalities from the two rival networks have been made possible since collaborations between GMA-7 and ABS-CBN have opened doors for more opportunities for the two companies to work together.

GMA-7 AND ABS-CBN PARTNERSHIP
In 2022, Bea was among the Kapuso stars who expressed excitement when it was announced that ABS-CBN's film company Star Cinema would be airing its blockbuster films on GMA-7.

In May 2023, GMA-7, ABS-CBN, and Viu Philippines produced a joint collaboration, the drama series Unbreak My Heart, which aired on GMA primetime block and streamed on VIU Philippines. It was headlined by Kapamilya stars Jodi Sta. Maria and Joshua Garcia as well as Kapuso stars Gabbi Garcia and Richard Yap.
GMA-7 and ABS-CBN also made a historic partnership when Kapamilya noontime show It's Showtime started airing as a blocktimer on GTV in June 2023.

Another landmark deal was made between the former rival networks when It's Showtime debuted on GMA-7's noontime slot in April 2024.
