Content creator and singer Benedict Cua feels grateful for finding new friends in Team Bardagulan, which has been trending on TikTok for several weeks.
A collective of content creators, Team Bardagulan includes Kelvin Fulgenio, a.k.a. Queen Dura; Kier Garcia a.k.a. Fhukerat; Jenny Chua, Patricia "Perlas" Funtanares, Vrix Gallano, Christian Opao Martinez, Cholo Evans, Niko Badayos, and many others.
Benedict met some members of Team Bardagulan for the first time at the GMA Gala 2024, held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Parañaque City.

Cholo was also present, while Queen Dura and Fhukerat attended as influencers for a branded booth.

In a brief chat with PEP before meeting the Team Bardagulan members, Benedict shared that his friendship with the group began quite randomly and naturally.
He said, "It was very random. Parang with social media naman, you cannot really predict who you can meet.
"Parang one time, nag-invite na lang sila. Tapos nag-live kami together and it just happened naturally."
Though their friendship mostly began online, Benedict is grateful that they all feel at ease and can be themselves around each other.
"Siyempre, in all friendships naman, you always worry na first time niyong mag-meet, kailangan magkapaan pa kayo.
"But, at the same time, you just have to be yourself. You don't have to force anything."
BENEDICT CUA'S GMA GALA EXPERIENCE
Meanwhile, PEP asked Benedict about his experience at the GMA Gala, where he co-hosted the TikTok livestream with Ashley Rivera.
Benedict admitted to feeling nervous initially, but he quickly felt at ease, "It's my first time hosting the livestream of GMA Gala and it was a wonderful experience.
"Actually, kinakabahan ako kanina. But when you're with a good host as well, it just happens naturally."
Apart from hosting, the highlight for Benedict was meeting the other guests, especially Kapuso stars as it had been a while since he attended a grand event.
Benedict told PEP, "Looking forward to meet everyone because it has been a while since I went to an event like this...
"And ang daming mga personalities na familiar sa TV ang nakikita mo na in person."
