ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu conveyed her heartfelt gratitude after announcing that she will be honored with the Outstanding Asian Star award at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024.
Seoul International Drama Awards is an annual festival that honors outstanding television drama productions worldwide.

The Kapamilya actress revealed the exciting news on Instagram on July 27, 2024, accompanied by a photo of her award confirmation.
In her caption, Kim shared her joy and gratitude, thanking the award committee, ABS-CBN, and her loyal fans for their continuous support and love.
Kim's full caption reads, published as is: "I got the news today! [emoji] I am lost for words… beyond thankful, grateful, and extremely happy!!! I can’t believe this is happening.

Kim won the award after receiving the most votes in an online poll via the IdolChamp App.
The other nominees included Paulo Avelino (Linlang), Nadine Lustre (Road Killers), Bea Alonzo (Love Before Sunrise), Rhian Ramos (Royal Blood), Krissha Viaje (Safe Skies Archer), Jerome Ponce (Road Killers/Safe Skies Archer), Dingdong Dantes (Royal Blood), Jane Oineza (Cattleya Killer), Dennis Trillo (Love Before Sunrise), Andrea Torres (Love Before Sunrise), Arjo Atayde (Cattleya Killer), Bodjie Pascua (Road Killers), and Sid Lucero (Love Before Sunrise).
FILIPINOS AT SEOUL INTERNATIONAL DRAMA AWARDS
Prior to Kim, several Filipino talents have been recognized at the Seoul International Drama Awards. Among the Asian Star Prize winners are Dennis Trillo (2016), Gabby Concepcion (2017), Alden Richards (2019), Dingdong Dantes (2020), Belle Mariano (2022), and Kathryn Bernardo (2023).
GMA-7's remake of the hit K-drama series Descendants of the Sun, which stars Dingdong and Jennylyn Mercado, also won the Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year in 2020.
The Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 Ceremony will be held on September 25 at KBS Hall, Seoul, South Korea.
