The brief glimpse of Dorothy and her companions heightens the excitement, reminding us that this is just the first chapter in an epic journey through the Land of Oz.

The wait for the second installment, slated for November 2025, will surely test our patience!

At the core of Wicked is the unlikely friendship between Elphaba and Glinda.

Despite being ostracized for her emerald green skin, Elphaba exudes resilience, refusing to let prejudice define her.

The viewers can't help but empathize as she is unfairly labeled the Wicked Witch of the West, making her journey all the more poignant.

Erivo’s breathtaking vocals shine throughout, but it’s in the emotional showstopper "Defying Gravity" that she truly soars.

Her defiance against societal norms creates a powerful and unforgettable cinematic moment.

Ariana Grande delivers a captivating performance as Glinda, blending charm with surprising depth.

NOOD KA MUNA!

Watching her portray Galinda's transformation into Glinda the Good Witch—while navigating her complex hate-love dynamic with roommate Elphaba—is a delight.

At first, Ariana channels the bubbly energy of her iconic Cat Valentine character from Victorious, complete with playful hair flips and mischievous grins.

Her Glinda exudes "main character syndrome," reveling in her belief that she's destined to be the star pupil at Shiz University.

Yet, Ariana adds layers to her portrayal, skillfully exploring Glinda's journey through the complexities of power, friendship, and self-discovery.

Jonathan Bailey sheds his stoic Bridgerton persona as Viscount Anthony to embrace the carefree charm of Fiyero.

From the moment he strides onto the screen, he exudes irresistible boyish charisma, and his hip-swaying dance numbers leave the women—and the viewers—spellbound.

Peter Dinklage delivers a standout vocal performance as the enigmatic goat professor, Dr. Dillamond, adding depth and gravitas to the role.

Michelle Yeoh is flawless as Madame Morrible, and her chilling shift in allegiance toward the film’s climax is nothing short of riveting.

WICKED: THE MUSIC

And, of course, Wicked wouldn’t be Wicked without its iconic music. The film’s grand musical numbers deliver the magic fans have been yearning for.

The sound design and orchestration breathe new life into Stephen Schwartz's beloved songs, striking a perfect balance between freshness and familiarity.

From the cheeky charm of "Popular" to the heartfelt resonance of "For Good," these musical moments are the beating heart of the film.

The production design heightens every performance, with vibrant colors, intricate costumes, and majestic set pieces that make each number feel monumental.

Yet, it’s the emotional weight of the film’s finale that lingers long after the credits roll.

The staging of "Defying Gravity" is nothing short of cinematic brilliance.

Elphaba’s soaring flight into the unknown is a powerful declaration of self-worth and rebellion against societal labels.

With breathtaking visuals and Erivo’s soul-stirring vocals, the moment is both exhilarating and profoundly moving, cementing its place as the film's crowning achievement.

WICKED: THE MUSIC

The emotional journey between Glinda and Elphaba—from rivalry to a profound, unspoken friendship—culminates in a deeply moving crescendo that’s sure to leave you misty-eyed.

While Wicked soars as a musical spectacle, it’s not without its flaws.

The pacing sometimes lingers in quieter moments, momentarily stalling the film's narrative momentum.

Additionally, supporting characters, including the Wizard (portrayed with quirky charm by Jeff Goldblum), lack depth.

With the spotlight firmly on Elphaba and Glinda, these roles feel underdeveloped and occasionally one-dimensional.

Despite these minor shortcomings, Wicked remains a triumph.

Its breathtaking visuals, powerhouse performances, and unforgettable music create a transportive experience full of magic, friendship, and self-discovery.

Whether you're a lifelong fan or new to the story, this is a film best experienced on the big screen.
