Kinatigan ng Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) si Miss Universe Philippines 2025 candidate Yllana Marie Aduana laban sa kaliwa't kanang batikos na natatanggap nito online.
Ito'y matapos akusahan si Yllana na nagpapanggap umano bilang isang scientist.
CONTENT CREATOR accuses YLLANA of "fakery" by elevating herself as a scientist
Nag-ugat ang akusasyong ito nang isang content creator ang magbigay ng reaksiyon sa pagpapakilala noon ni Yllana sa sarili nang dumalo ito sa United Nations climate change event sa New York noong July 2023, makaraan niyang makoronahan bilang Miss Earth Philippines 2023.
Proud na ipakilala ni Yllana ang sarili sa harap ng UN climate change delegates na siya ay "licensed medical laboratory scientist" bago siya naging beauty queen.
Aniya: "I'm Yllana Marie Aduana. I am the reigning Miss Earth Philippines. I flew all the way here from the Philippines to attend this conference.
"So before being a beauty queen, I am also a scientist and an advocate of the earth.
"What I do is I travel to different sectors in the Philippines to talk about the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals [SDG] and their interconnectedness to the nature."

Nagbigay ng reaksiyon dito ang content creator na nagngangalang Tita Lavinia.
Tinawag niyang "fakery" o pagpapanggap ang pagtawag ni Yllana na "scientist" sa kanyang propesyon.
Saad ni Tita Lavinia (ayon sa kumakalat niyang video online): "Yung kay Yllana is not really a smart shaming, siguro it's the fakery of presenting yourself out there.
"Like for example, finishing a degree in medical lab technology or something like that and then presenting yourself as a scientist.
"Like, parang tinaas, in-elevate mo kung ano ka talaga."

Maraming netizens, lalung-lalo na ang fans ni Yllana, ang umalma sa pahayag na ito ni Tita Lavinia.
Giit nila, walang katotohanan ang sinasabing pekeng scientist si Yllana.
Si Yllana ay nagtapos ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology sa Centro Escolar University.
Taong 2018 nang maipasa niya ang medical technologist licensure examination na naging daan para matawag niya ang sarili bilang isang scientist.
Ayon sa Mayo Clinic, "a medical laboratory scientist (MLS), also known as a medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist, works to analyze a variety of biological specimens. They are responsible for performing scientific testing on samples and reporting results to physicians."
Naglabas din ng pahayag ang PAMET o Philippine Association of Medical Technologists noong Sabado, February 22, para kondenahin ang anila'y panghahamak ni Tita Lavinia sa kredibilidad ng mga medical laboratory scientist sa bansa.
Mababasa sa pahayag ni PAMET national president Luella Vertucio (published as is): "Kamakailan, isang pahayag ang lumabas mula sa Vlog ni Ms. Tita Lavinia, na nagpapababa sa kredibilidad ng ating propesyon sa pagsasabing tila 'itinataas' ng mga Medical Technologists / Medical Laboratory Scientists ang ating sarili sa paggamit ng titulong 'Medical Laboratory Scientist,' na aniya ay hindi totoo.
"As the duly recognized organization representing Medical Technologists in the Philippines, PAMET firmly upholds that our profession is built on scientific expertise, rigorous education, and specialized training.
"The title 'Medical Laboratory Scientist' is not self-proclaimed but is internationally recognized, reflecting the essential role we play in healthcare.
"Our profession is at the forefront of laboratory diagnostics, ensuring accurate and reliable results that guide medical decisions and patient care."
Ayon pa sa PAMET national president, pambabastos sa libu-libong medical technologist sa bansa ang animo'y pagpapalabas na gawa-gawa lang ng mga ito ang pagtawag sa kanilang sarili bilang Medical Laboratory Scientists.
"Any remark that diminishes the credibility and contributions of our profession is not only misleading but also disrespectful to the thousands of Medical Technologists who have dedicated their lives to upholding the highest standards of laboratory science.
"We urge responsible and fact-based discourse, especially from those with a public platform, to prevent the spread of misinformation."
Nanawagan din ang PAMET kay Tita Lavinia na agad maglabas ng apology statement dahil sa nasabi nitong mali tungkol sa kanilang propesyon.
Anila: "PAMET stands united in defending the integrity of our profession. We call on Ms. Tita Lavinia to issue a clarification and an apology for the misleading statements that undermine the value of Medical Laboratory Scientists in the healthcare system."
Samantala, sa inilabas na statement ng PAMET sa kanilang Facebook account ay makikita ang komento rito ni Yllana.
Mensahe ng beauty queen, "Will always be a proud Katusok! Mabuhay tayong mga ka-Agham and fellow Scientists!"
Si Yllana ay kinatawan ng Siniloan, Laguna sa Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
Itinuturing siyang isa sa mga frontrunner at fan favorite sa national beauty pageant ngayong taon.
