Park Bo Gum charms Filipino fans at nearly four-hour fan meet

From “Annyeong” to “Ikaw Lang.”

After six long years, Filipino fans finally got to see Park Bo-gum in person again.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, the 32-year-old South Korean superstar held his Be With You fan meet at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

The nearly four-hour event—held from 6:30 P.M. to around 10:30 P.M.—treated fans to a night of non-stop entertainment, heartfelt moments, and a special hi-bye session with Park Bo-gum himself.

Here’s everything you missed from the unforgettable fan meet:

PARK BO GUM: BE WITH YOU IN MANILA OPENING NUMBER

Bo-gum kicked it off with performances of “Annyeong” and “Just Fine,” a perfect greeting to his Filipino fans after six years.

His opening message to the crowd: “Hello, everyone! Hello, Philippines! Thank you so much for your support and love. How have you been? It’s been a long time, right?”

Fans responded with thunderous cheers, filling the arena with warmth.

In English, Bo-gum said, “I really, really missed you guys! I’m so happy to see you all!”

During the Q and A segment hosted by Sam Oh, she teased him about being “pogi.”

The actor blushed when he learned it meant "handsome" and grew even more shy when fans began chanting, 'Pogi! Pogi!'"

Sam revealed how hands-on Bo-gum was with the fan meet’s pre-production.

In fact, the title, Be With You, was his idea.

Through a translator, he explained, "From my debut, until, you guys always be with me. So I just want to say thank you and I'm gonna be with you, too.

"So today, I prepared this whole thing today, to be with you."

"I have chosen the title 'Be With You' because of the love and support that you've given me...

"And it also contains the meaning that I wanna be with you moving forward, as well."

PARK BO GUM: BE WITH YOU IN MANILA HIGHLIGHTS

The talk portion of Bo-gum’s fan meet used a train-station theme and was divided into three segments.

Fans cheered when Bo-gum shouted in Filipino, "Choo! Choo! Lalarga na," to signal the start of each segment.

NOOD KA MUNA!

The first segment, "B-Cut Station," showcased recent photos he’d taken and the stories behind them.

One showed the bouquet of blue flowers he received upon arrival in Manila.

"You guys are all my flowers," he said. "Please do not prepare or buy these flowers."

Another photo was a barefaced selfie he had taken that morning.

Bo Gum said his morning routine included a workout, a swim, and rehearsal for the fan meet.

For the next station, the "B Station," Bo Gum talked about some of his recent projects.

At the start, Sam asked how Bo Gum's year so far.

Through a translator he replied: "I think I have a lot of blessings this year, and also, at this moment, I'm receiving the blessings as well.

"So, you know, I'm actually having a very thankful time because I was able to greet you with a lot of good projects.

"And also, meeting you guys, I'm feeling really blessed right now."

With regard to his projects, the segment included a clip from When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Reflecting on the show's message through a translator, he said: "It made me think about how to express love and what it means to be a good adult.

"It also made me consider how to feel sincerity in my life. I was able to finish this project with a heart filled with love and happiness."

A scene from the action drama Good Boy was also shown.

Bo Gum said he didn’t use a stunt double for the intense sequences.

PARK BO GUM: KING OF FAN SERVICE

At the final stop, the "Be With You" Station, Bo-gum granted requests from lucky fans.

One fan asked for words of encouragement and a message she could show her boss; Bo Gum thanked the boss for letting her attend and said, "She deserves a little happiness."

Another fan requested a birthday message for her mom, who was at the show.

Bo Gum invited them onstage for selfies and even played the keyboard while they sang “Happy Birthday” together.

Another highlight was when Bo-gum was challenged to play the Filipino game jackstone.

If he succeeded, he’d win a surprise gift for a lucky fan.

He gave it his all, completed the challenge, and the fan’s prize was a selfie with him..

Part of the game taught him Filipino lines and phrases.

He quickly picked up “mahal kita,” “miss kita,” and “ang ganda mo.”

And when the fan approached him, he greeted her with, “Ang ganda mo,” which sent the crowd swooning with kilig.

Another segment featured a raffle of Bo-gum’s albums and official merchandise.

He also put up personal items—vitamins, ginseng drinks, luxury body oil and other souvenirs he bought in Taipei—for fans to win.

He even gave fans the chance to win some of his personal items, including vitamins, ginseng drinks, luxury body oil, and souvenirs he brought back from Taipei.

PARK BO GUM: PERFORMANCES AND MESSAGE

Bo Gum did a quick outfit change for his song set—“On My Way,” “Through the Night,” and “My Person.”

He also covered Filipino favorites—Nobita’s “Ikaw Lang” and Gary Valenciano’s “I Will Be Here”—and sang the Christian hymn “How Great Thou Art.”

Toward the end, he politely asked fans to remain seated and avoid physical contact as he moved around the arena.

To everyone’s surprise, he even toured the lower-box tier.

Bo Gum ended the fan meet with a message to his fans: "I hope you really have a good day and memories. When you feel tired, think of this meeting, our trip.

After the show, he posted this message on Instagram: "Thanks to my friends in Manila, this journey has been truly heartwarming.

"Everyone welcomed me with bright smiles and joyful hearts, and I’m deeply grateful for that.

"You were with me 6 years ago, you are with me now, and you’ve always been there.

"Wishing you peace and blessings until we meet again. God bless you all!"
