Saad ng aktor: "This whole experience, truthfully, I went through it by myself.
"Sobrang na-enjoy ko yung parte ng buhay ko na yun kasi, ito, private.
"So, I also grieved this alone and in private.
"And the most part, I'm okay, but of course, di ba, parang, like I said, parang, it would be nice to, you know, have some time, two weeks or three weeks.
"But again, I have to just remind myself na the last time I went through this, ang hirap ng buhay ko noon. I didn't have a lot of things with me.
"This time in my life, I have so many things na.
"Hindi ko kaya biguin ang Batang Quiapo. Hindi ko kaya biguin ang What Lies Beneath, at hindi ko rin talaga bibiguin si Direk Lester.
"So, mamaya na natin problemahin ang mga yan. Let's be a man about it and just work through these things.
"The only way out is through."
Ang tinutukoy ni Jake na "Direk Lester" ay si Lester Pimentel, ang direktor ng Netflix movie na Delivery Rider na pinagbibidahan ni Jake at ni Baron Geisler.
IT'S ALL NOISE
Sa mga nababasa niyang ulat tungkol sa kanya, ilang porsiyento sa tingin ni Jake ang tama?
Tugon ng aktor: "You know, to be honest, it's all noise na lang para sa akin.
"It's just a lot of opinions that don't matter kasi the most important opinion to me back then was hers, di ba?
"So, all of these things are just noise to me. Again, parang, you know, when you've gone through a career like mine, na I have videos of me handcuffed on the sidewalk, di ba?
"From those things, you don't really worry about scandals or controversies like this.
"In fact, like, to be honest with you, like, I like to just move past it kasi I don't enjoy this part of the industry.
"I don't enjoy this part of show business and acting. I enjoy that, mga shooting and taping and filming and doing plays, di ba?
"So, this is not a comfortable position for me to say the least.
"And to be honest with you, I wish na masarado na natin to and we can all just move on with our lives.
"Kasi, to be quite honest with you, that's what I have to do as a man right now. Right?"

JAKE CUENCA NEEDS TO FULFILL ALL OBLIGATIONS FIRST
May balak ba siyang magbakasyon para makapag-isip-isip?
Saad ni Jake: "I told myself, pagkatapos po nitong mga project na to.
"E, yun nga po talaga ako, e. Like I said, since I've gone through my sobriety, I don't reward myself for the smallest things anymore.
"Parang, I told myself ire-reward ko sarili ko once I finish all these things, di ba?
"Or at least finish two of them, at Batang Quiapo na lang yung matitira."
Baka imposible pa raw sa ngayon na mag-long vacation siya mula sa trabaho.
Paliwanag niya: "Pero for now, I can't say.
"Kumbaga, if I ask for a vacation, if I ask for time off right now, paano yung buong Guerrero fans sa Batang Quiapo?
"How about my driver? How about everyone who works, everyone I employ, di ba? Then, everyone will have to take a break.
"So, life, like, you gotta just swallow it and, you know, you just gotta take it on the chin and move forward, and carry on.
"Like I said, throughout this experience, I'm incredibly proud of myself because I handled this like a man."
Gaano ba kahirap ang trabago niya ngayong anim na araw siyang nagti-taping para sa dalawang teleserye, ang Batang Quiapo at What Lies Beneath?
Ayon kay Jake: "You know, to be honest, I'm optimistic, e. I'm not a negative thinker. So, I still feel very blessed.
"And whatever I have in front of me right now, all the pieces that's still there, I'm gonna fight with that.
"I'm gonna, you know... you know me. With something small, I can make something big, di ba?
"So, for me, I have a lot that I can thrive with now. A lot more than I ever had before.
"So, in fact, I still feel incredibly lucky to be in this position, to be where I'm at in this industry.
"And at the same time, I have a lot of things to be happy for because I'm also receiving my 20th year award from ABS-CBN, so that means something."
