Dumating ang dating aktres na si Gretchen Barretto sa burol ng kanyang inang si Estrella "Inday" Barretto.
Ibinahagi ng kapatid ni Gretchen na si Joaquin "Jayjay" Barretto sa social media ngayong Linggo, February 1, 2026, ang ilang larawang kuha sa burol ng kanilang ina sa The Heritage Park sa Taguig City.
Kasama niya sa litrato, na kinunan sa harap ng kabaong ni Mommy Inday, si Gretchen at bunso nilang kapatid na si Claudine Barretto.
Mensahe ni Jayjay sa caption: "I love you both so much. Mom is smiling in heaven. Wish come true for Mom. Thank you Lord"

MOMMY INDAY-GRETCHEN FEUD
Sina Gretchen, Claudine, at Jayjay ay tatlo sa pitong anak nina Inday at Miguel Barretto, na unang pumanaw noong October 15, 2019.
Ang iba pa ay sina Mito, Michelle, Gia, at Marjorie Barretto.
Pumanaw si Mito noong lamang September 2025.
Hindi lingid sa kaalaman ng marami ang naging alitan nina Mommy Inday at Gretchen noon, kung saan naisapubliko pa ang pagpapalitan nila ng mga akusasyon at masasakit na salita.
Noong April 29, 2013, nabulabog ang mundo ng showbiz nang maglabas ng isang open letter si Mommy Inday sa The Philippine Star para kay Gretchen.
Ito ay bilang reaksiyon sa pagtawag ni Gretchen kay Claudine ng "evil."
Kasunod ng pagtatanggol at pagpuri niya kay Claudine ay ang pagtawag din niya ng "evil" at "liar" kay Gretchen.

Bahagi ng open letter ni Mommy Inday kay Gretchen (published as is):
"For the longest time now and all these years you did nothing but make it your favorite pastime to play with the lives of my family, the family you are ashamed to own, in spite of the fact that I brought you all up well, humble and human!
"You have attacked, accused, maligned and tried to destroy each and everyone of us in the eyes of society, starting from your father, I your mother, and each and everyone of your siblings including their partners!
"People ask and some who do not know any better, might believe that maybe we’re cruel parents, neglectful and remiss in our duties to you! Only, you, alone? Because no one else is complaining about their childhood!
"How easy for me to have explained my side, but how can a mother defend herself without destroying a child of hers no matter that she is EVIL?"
Sabi pa ni Mommy Inday sa huli: "I am letting go of a child now who never wanted me in order to save one who has always been there for all, and with all of her love…Claudine!"
Sa panayam naman ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Mommy Inday noong April 28, 2023, pinaratangan niya si Gretchen ng pagsira umano sa mga espesyal na okasyon sa kanilang pamilya.
Sabi ni Mommy Inday: "When she comes in the picture, nag-aaway. O, see, masama na naman ako, sinasabi ko iyan! Pero that’s the truth.
"Every time she comes back, may nag-aaway, pinapaaway niya lahat! For the longest time, pinapabayaan ko na."
Noong October 27, 2013, naglabas si Mommy Inday sa PEP.ph ng kanyang full statement laban sa umano'y "character assassination" at "smear campaign" ni Gretchen.
Wala raw katotohanan ang patutsada ni Gretchen na may kinalaman siya sa "missing jewelry" sa jewelry store, kung saan bumibili ng alahas ang ginang.
Totoong sumangguni raw sa espiritista ang jewelry store owner, pero nahanap din daw ang inakalang nawawalang alahas at saka raw ibinalik kay Mommy Inday.
Sa inasta raw ni Gretchen ay pinatunayan nitong nais niyang sirain ang buhay ng kanilang pamilya.
Nakasaad sa pahayag ni Mommy Inday. "You now turn on your own flesh and blood—her parents whom people admire and respect that she is trying to destroy now!"
Sabi pa ng Barretto matriarch kay Gretchen: "So who do you think you really are? Princess of the Nile?
"Nakapatong lang sa kalabaw—akala mo malaki pa sa kalabaw."
Noong October 29, 2013, naglabas naman ng statement si Gretchen sa PEP.ph, at nakadirekta ito kay Mommy Inday.
Ayon kay Gretchen, kaligayahan na raw ng kanyang ina na pasakitan siya at panahon na raw para ilahad niya ang diumano'y pang-aabuso nito sa kanya.
Mahilig din umanong gumawa ng kuwento ang kanyang ina na galing sila sa mayamang pamilya.
Pagbubunyag ni Gretchen: "As far as I can remember, she would instruct us, her children, that we are to say that her family comes from a rich family (hacienderas) in Iloilo.
"She also told people that she was in buying and selling of houses.
"I challenge her now to produce facts to support these claims."
Hindi rin daw totoo na may-ari ang pamilya nila ng isang prawn farm sa Iloilo, ang hometown ng kanyang ina.
Pagkatapos ay inisa-isa rin ni Gretchen ang mga pelikula, commercials, at concerts na trinabaho niya noong kabataan niya.
Ani Gretchen, "Of course, I was paid good money for all these work."
Pero wala raw accounting na ibinigay sa kanya si Mommy Inday.
Sa puntong ito ay tinawag ni Gretchen na "narcissistic" ang kanyang ina.
Ang totoo ay napunta raw ang lahat ng kinita niya noong nagsisimula siyang mag-artista sa "basic needs" ng kanilang pamilya.
Pero sa halip na ma-appreciate ito ni Mommy Inday, minaliit raw nito ang suweldo niya pati ang trabaho bilang artista.
Ani Gretchen: "Despite the fact that my specific earnings went to help support the family, Inday demeans the source of that income that supported her, by insulting me as a woman, labeling me as an 'ST Queen,' as a point of comparison with the label of 'Teleserye Queen' for my sister, Claudine."
Sa mga sumunod na salita ni Gretchen, inamin nitong si Mommy Inday ang hinala niyang basher niya na si @bullygretchen.
Kabisado na raw kasi ni Gretchen ang mga salitang ginagamit ng ina para pasakitan siya.
"She is trying to sell this story that I am an 'evil' person who goes out of my way to destroy people’s lives. I believe she repeated that tale in her last statement.
"At every instance that she publishes this tale, and she does this numerous times across all social media platforms, the knee jerk reaction is to laugh.
"You just read Inday attribute to me the misdeed of 'character assassination,' in the same instrument where she refers to me as a 'stupid,' 'evil,' 'creature,' of an 'ass.'
"I wonder if Inday is too ill to see the irony."
Mahaba at detalyado ang pahayag ni Gretchen laban sa kanyang ina. Pero paulit-ulit man daw siyang sinaktan nito ay hawak daw niya ang katotohanan.
Pasabog pa ni Gretchen: "My mother is the person who takes such pleasure in trying to break me and anything or anyone I love.
"My mother is the person who is deeply pained by my happiness."

THE RECONCILIATION
Makalipas ang ilang taon, sa burol ng Barretto patriarch na si Miguel Barretto, noong October 16, 2019, nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makapag-usap sina Mommy Inday at Gretchen.
Isinantabi raw nila ang masasakit na salitang ibinato nila sa isa't isa anim na taon ang nakakaraan.
Sa Instagram post ni Gretchen noong October 22, 2019, ibinahagi niya ang video ng paghaharap nila ng ina.
Caption ni Gretchen (published as is): "This was a lovely, precious moment - it was about forgiveness, love & a promise to protect our new found mother / daughter relationship.
"It was a great opportunity to mend all the nasty words thrown to each other.
"It was a dream come true for me to finally hear the words I love you from my mother ( something I thought I would never hear til the last breath of my last day.
"Words are not enough to express the feeling and the blessing."
Bago ito ay nauna nang nagkaayos sina Gretchen at Claudine.
Pagkatapos nito ay makailang beses nang lumalabas para sa salu-salo sina Mommy Inday at Gretchen, kasama sina Claudine ay Jayjay.
