[PRESS RELEASE]
The new set of officers and members of the Multi-Media Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (MMPRESS) recently had their official oath-taking ceremony before Mayor Vico Sotto of Pasig City.
Composed of veteran and contemporary entertainment writers and columnists both in print and online, the group is formerly known as the Entertainment Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (ENPRESS) whose re-branding was imperative mainly because of the evolving landscape in entertainment reporting and writing.
MMPRESS is evolving. While they continue to honor outstanding work in film and television, they’re also going digital — building a strong, engaged presence across social media.
Their mission extends to advocacy work in education, health, sports, and the environment.
At their core, they want entertainment writers to reconnect with their craft. MMPRESS believes writers should take pride in their role, uphold strong principles, and use their voice to elevate the industry.
They’re here to spark meaningful conversations, address key issues, and take a stand when it counts.
The new set of officers include: Ms. Rose Garcia-Fabregas (President); Mr. Allan Diones (Vice-President); Mr. Joseph Peter R. Gonzales (Secretary); Mr. Jimpy Anarcon (Multi-Media Officer); Mr. Lito Mañago (Treasurer); Mr. Lendl Fabella (Assistant Treasurer); Mr. Glenn Regondola (Auditor); Mr. Arniel Serato (Press Relations Strategist); and Mr. Jun Nardo (Honorary Chairman).

The regular members are comprised of Mr. Fu Espiritu, Ms. Nora Calderon, Ms. Nitz Miralles, and Mr. Diego Dequino.
Renowned talent manager-radio personality and columnist Noel Ferrer, who serves as the group’s official adviser, was also present during the oath-taking to show support.

MMPRESS PREPARES DEKADA AWARDS FOR FILM
After this momentous event, MMPRESS went to the cozy and upscale Locavore Restaurant at the Estancia Mall in Pasig to celebrate the occasion.
The group was very grateful for the warm accommodation, great food and drinks that the said dining place sponsored for them.

Up next for MMPRESS: full planning is underway for the much-awaited Dekada Awards for Film, alongside the comeback of their flagship Golden Screen Awards.
Taken together, these efforts mark MMPRESS’s renewed presence in the entertainment industry.
By returning to basics and building a strong, credible foundation, they aim to show that the entertainment press is a creative and critical partner in the industry’s growth and development.
