Naninindigan ang aktor na si Derek Ramsay na wala siyang kinalaman sa anumang ilegal na gawain ngayong iniimbestigahan ang pag-aari niyang luxury car.
Nagsimula ang lahat nang mahuling minamaneho ang luxury car, isang Porsche 918 Spyder, gamit ang illegal plate number habang tumatakbo ito sa kalsada sa EDSA.
Napag-alaman ito ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na nag-utos na i-impound ang kontrobersiyal na sasakyan.
Bagama’t nakapangalan ang luxury car kay Derek, nang mangyari ang insidente ay minamaneho ito ng kaibigan niyang si Anthony Jude “AJ” Violago.
Si Violago ay presidente at CEO ng San Lorenzo Ruiz Builders and Developers Group.
Inamin ni Violago na sa kanya ang pekeng plate number, at ang mga letra nito ay tumutukoy umano sa kanyang initials. Itinanggi naman ni Derek na may kinalaman siya sa plate number.
Nagtungo sa tanggapan ng LTO sina Derek at AJ noong August 17, 2026, bilang tugon sa show cause order.
Nagsagawa rin ng imbestigasyon ang Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Diumano, nadagdagan ang isyu dahil napag-alamang may iregularidad at kakulangan sa government compliance sa importation ng kotse.
Tumatakbo ngayon ang imbestigasyon at nakatakda ang hearing ng kaso sa August 24, 2026.

DEREK SAYS HE’S INNOCENT
Noong Sabado, August 22 naglabas ng pahayag si Derek sa Instagram Story kaugnay ng isyu.
Naninindigan siyang dumaan sa tamang proseso ang pagbili niya ng kotse apat na taon na ang nakalilipas.
Kumpleto raw ito sa dokumento at handa raw siyang makipagtulungan sa LTO.
Kaugnay ng importasyon tungkol sa sasakyan, sinabi ni Derek na dapat ay papagpaliwanagin din ang high-end automotive customization, styling, and car preparation shop kunsaan binili ni Derek ang sasakyan.
“I am not a smuggler, nor did I import this vehicle into the country. I have never imported any vehicle into the Philippines,” bungad ng post ni Derek.
“I purchased this car four years ago from JHON LEE of JWORKS using my hard-earned money.
“At the time of the purchase, I was informed that the vehicle was tax-paid. The vehicle was subsequently registered with the LTO, and the registration and the plates were issued under my name.”
Naninindigan ang aktor na dumaan sa tamang proseso ang pagbili niya ng kotse.
“I have no idea why this issue is now happening. I want to reiterate that I purchased the vehicle in good faith and believed that everything was properly documented and legally registered.
“I have already cooperated with the LTO regarding this issue involving the plates, and I will also fully cooperate with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) regarding this new matter.”
Giit ni Derek, wala siyang kinalaman sa anumang iligal na gawain, kung meron man, nang bilhin niya ang sasakyan.
Sinabi ni Derek na handa siyang makipagtulungan para malaman ang katotohanan.
“I respectfully maintain that I had no involvement in the importation, taxation, or registration of this vehicle beyond purchasing it in good faither from JWorks.
"I sincerely hope that JWorks will provide an explanation and take the necessary steps to clarify and resolve this matter.
“I am willing to provide any documents or information in my possession and cooperate with the authorities as necessary to establish the facts.”
