Before she was seen in ABS-CBN's reality show, Apey Obera was featured in the GMA-7 game show/variety show Wowowin.
Apey is currently an adult housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Otso. She was recently reunited with her long-lost brother Mark, who informed her that their father is still alive.

Apey's desire to meet her father was first documented in the June 11, 2018 episode of Wowowin, where she was a contestant for the segment "Willie of Fortune."
In the interview portion of the segment, Apey said she knows her mother but not her dad.
The young girl teared up as she said:
Apey, who was in a jovial spirit, said she does not resent her mother even if she did not let her meet her father.
Mama kita, e. Ako po yung anak mong maganda,” said the girl who wanted to apply as a jester for Willie's Wowowin.
She also talked to her sister Jackie, who was at the studio that day. Apey and Jackie have the same mother but have different dads. Apey credited Jackie for helping her to live independently.
