Nora Aunor feels thrilled about her return to ABS-CBN, 13 years after her reported “unpleasant working experiences” with the Kapamilya network.
This was manifested yesterday, May 4, during the press conference for her upcoming Maalaala Mo Kaya episode at ELJ Building’s 9501 Restaurant.
Nora happily greeted everyone during the presscon, and said that she is very happy with her ABS-CBN comeback.
And then, without anyone asking, Nora suddenly blurted out her past issue with the network.
However, she clarified that she already made amends with the Kapamilya network; specifically with its bosses, ABS-CBN COO Charo Santos-Concio and Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos.
Incidentally, Charo happens to be the host of MMK while Malou is the business unit head of the show.
Nora said, “Noong araw, nagpunta na ako dito.
Before she taped her MMK episode, Nora mentioned that she had a talk with Malou.
In a separate interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other entertainment reporters, Nora admitted that she said unpleasant comments about Charo and Malou’s management.
The Superstar was then asked if her return to ABS-CBN will soon translate into a network contract.
The 62-year-old actress simply answered, “Tingnan natin kung ano ang ibibigay ng ABS-CBN. Open lang ako sa lahat.”
YES! INTERVIEW. To recall, Nora had grievances with ABS-CBN when her 2002 drama series Bituin was cut short by the management.
In YES! Magazine’s September 2011 cover story, she talked about her observations on Charo and Malou.
In November 2011, reports came out that Nora and Charo snubbed each other during the 25th Star Awards for TV.
The same report mentioned that Charo allegedly did not stand when Nora was given a special award, while her seatmates gave the Superstar a standing ovation.
However, Charo was also seen clapping her hands while Nora was giving her acceptance speech.
