According to Star Cinema, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo earned P100 million in less than three weeks in the box-office.
This comedy film about moving on is the first movie team-up of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. It is the film adaptation of the best-selling "self-help" humor book by Ramon Bautista and directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal.
In the film, Kim portrays a brainy "ugly duckling" employee named Sandy Veloso who is fired by the new CEO of their company Alex Prieto (played by Xian). However, Alex hires her back since he needs her help to run the business and in exchange, the young bachelor helps Sandy undergo a makeover as she moves on from a broken heart.
During the film's presscon, Kim described her character Sandy by saying: “Si Sandy kasi, ‘yong character ko doon, grabe siya magmahal, sobra-sobra pa sa sarili niya. Parang hindi niya alam ‘yong worth niya.
“I’m sure maraming makaka-relate na girls sa akin, na ganun ‘yong feeling—sobra kang magmahal pero you’re not receiving it back, ‘yong pagmamahal na binibigay mo.
“Nandoon din kung paano ka mag-move on.
“Nandoon din ‘yong makakakilala ka ng newfound love.”
