A few weeks have passed since actress Alexa Miro opened up about her former relationship with Congressman and House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos.
In September 23, 2025, Alexa stirred headlines after a TikTok live session where she revealed ending a five-year relationship with an unnamed boyfriend, allegedly due to an affair involving actress and beauty queen Franki Russell.
Later, during the media conference for TV5’s reality show Sing-Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition on September 25, she confirmed that the boyfriend in question was Sandro Marcos and that their relationship lasted half a decade.
While she didn’t specify exactly when the breakup occurred, many speculate it may have happened earlier this year.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on October 16, 2025, following her revelation, Alexa opened up about her current state of heart.
She shared that she’s embracing singlehood and focusing on personal growth and her acting career.
"The status of my heart? I’d say I’m just focused on my career right now," Alexa told PEP at the launch of Chef Ayb’s Paragis, Alex Gonzaga’s newest business venture.
She added: "I'm focused on myself and making sure that I become the best version of myself every single day...
"Because, I feel like, yun lang yung talagang dapat i-compare natin yung sarili natin... who we were yesterday? So today we're better than that. And that's all."

Alexa also stressed that she has completely moved on and left everything behind her.
She said, "Moved on? Yeah, of course, I wish him well and I want him to be happy. And we're good naman. We're good naman, ayun."

That said, Alexa has been keeping herself busy with her latest project, ReKonek, an official entry to the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.
This family drama, directed by Jade Castro and produced by Reality MM Studios in collaboration with The Th3rd Floor, features a powerhouse cast that includes Gerald Anderson, Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, Gloria Diaz, Alexa Miro, Bela Padilla, Andrea Brillantes, Mavy Legaspi, Cassy Legaspi, Kokoy de Santos, and Donna Cariaga.
"Sobra-sobrang excited ako," Alexa said of the movie.
When asked about her role, Alexa revealed: "My character in the film is called Paula and she is... She has a lot of, I don't know, I can't say much, but she has a lot of thrill and perk to her character.
"And makakakita kayo ng kakaibang Alexa Miro dito sa pelikulang ito."
Filming for ReKonek is still ongoing, and Alexa admitted she’s already getting attention online—even before the movie hits theaters.
"Nag-start na kami ng filming and on-going pa yung film kaya...
"Actually, yun, di ko puwedeng baguhin yung buhok ko kahit medyo marami akong bashers right now sa buhok ko daw.
"But they don't know that it's part of the film. So, may mga secret pa tayo na ilalabas natin sa takdang panahon."
On working with the ensemble cast, Alexa shared: "Ay, naku! Masayang-masaya sa set. Though mostly, nag-i-intertwine kasi yung stories namin, and that's, that's the secret, actually.
"But you'll see that ReKonek is about a whole Christmas special that we have for you na talagang mararamdaman niyo yung Christmas spirit.
"Mag-intertwine lahat ng mga kailangan nating maramdaman sa isang pelikula. Talagang jam-packed."
Alexa also expressed her gratitude for being part of MMFF again, following her participation in Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital during the festival’s 2024 edition.
"I'm very, very thankful to God, first and foremost. At siyempre, sa management ko na hindi ako pinababayan kahit medyo pasaway ako.
"A little pasaway si Alex Zamiro. But, you know, we're fighting and we're living the life and we're working hard to make all of our dreams come true."
