Hindi lamang ang pagbabalik sa telebisyon ng Love of My Life sa December 28, 2020 ang ibinalita ni Carla Abellana sa Zoom presscon na nangyari nitong Martes ng hapon, December 22.
Magbabalik din sa drama series ng GMA-7 ang karakter ng kanyang real-life boyfriend na si Tom Rodriguez.
Pansamantalang inihinto ang airing ng Love of My Life noong March 2020 dahil sa idineklarang Enhanced Community Quarantine sa Luzon.
Pero makalipas ang siyam na buwan, muling mapapanood sa Kapuso Network ang primetime drama series, pati na ang namatay na Stefano character ni Tom.
"Grateful na kami that Tom was still able to taped for Love of My Life for a day or two. Who would have thought na porke dead na yung karakter ni Stefano, hindi na rin makakapag-taping si Tom?
"Sana abangan nila kung bakit nakapag-taping pa si Tom for Love of My Life," kuwento ni Carla tungkol kay Tom.
Nakilala raw ni Carla nang lubusan si Tom dahil silang dalawa ang magkasama sa iisang bahay nang magdeklara ng lockdown noong March 15, 2020.
Ayon sa Kapuso actress, "2020 is the year that Tom and I spent most time of our time together.
"Sanay kasi kami na when he has a soap, ako wala, so he’s always out or vice versa. Na kapag ako naman yung may soap, siya ang nakapahinga.
"But ito, talagang it was a challenge for us because mag-isa ako sa bahay.
"Thankfully, right before lockdown, nakalipat siya dito and I had an extra hand of help eventually.
"Talagang take turns kami sa pag-wash ng dishes, sweep ng floor, mop ng floor, paligo ng dogs, pagluto… mahirap.
"I’m not embarrassed to say that we had a lot of arguments talaga, but okey lang kasi na-test talaga namin nang husto yung relationship namin.
"I’ve learned so much more about Tom, and I would say mas tumibay pa yung relationship namin," pagbabahagi ni Carla.
WORRIED BUT THANKFUL
Hindi ipinagkaila ni Carla na nakaramdam siya ng matinding pangamba dahil sa coronavirus pandemic, pero mas marami ang kanyang ipinagpapasalamat.
Unang-unang ipinagpapasalamat ng Kapuso actres dahil may trabaho siyang babalikan, ang Love of My Life.
"Thankfully, we were able to go back and finish the show.
"That’s one of the things I’m most grateful for this year kasi may work kami na naghintay for us.
"May work kaming binalikan, and we are grateful to our network and everybody else behind the show kaya good way to end the year."
Sabi pa ni Carla, "These past months have been busy, but the entire year, practically it started off well. But because of the pandemic, we have to adjust.
"It was difficult very difficult because I was alone at first at home. I have to do household chores myself, take care of the dogs, wash, clean, cook, everything."
Natuto rin daw silang gumawa ng vlog nang sila lang at walang crew.
"And work was also very challenging because we have to do everything from home.
"We didn’t have cameramen, we didn’t have a lighting director. We didn’t have our own equipment. It was difficult.
"We have to do everything ourselves. Challenging pala siya, mami-miss talaga yung crew, yung support.
"We had to really compromise. We had to buy and upgrade our equipment.
"It was difficult because not everything was easily accepted."
Patuloy ni Carla, "Very difficult because we weren’t able to see our families for a longtime. We weren’t able to see our friends for a long time.
"Everything was online, which is still very different, but we have to settle.
"I was very scared just like everybody else. The first few times that I have to leave the house was very scary, but thankfully, my family is safe."
