Si Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy ang choreographer ng dance moves ni Sarah Geronimo para sa music video ng "Tala" noong 2016.
Itinuturing na phenomenal ang tagumpay ng "Tala" dahil makalipas ang tatlong taon, naging dance craze ito kaya maligayang-maligaya si Teacher Georcelle.
Sabi niya, "It’s a great feeling to see a lot of people, the whole Philippines actually, dancing to your creation and also people abroad.
"Nakakataba ng puso and I’m so happy na ganoon ang naging impact ng 'Tala' sa mga tao.
"It’s not just a feel-good song. It’s not just a feel-good dance. It’s really 'Tala.'
"It gives brightness to a lot of people. It’s really a celebration and I’m happy that Sarah is also happy sa outcome ng 'Tala.'"
Tala, The Film Concert
Malaki ang partisipasyon ni Teacher Georcelle sa Tala, The Film Concert ni Sarah dahil siya muli ang choreographer.
Para kay Teacher Georcelle, malaking oportunidad na makabilang siya sa isang project na nagbibigay ng liwanag at pag-asa sa mga Pilipino.
"I am grateful. If we are not in a lockdown or if don’t have pandemic, I would say excited, fun and super estatic about having a film concert.
"But now, because we are in a pandemic and there’s lockdown, I’d say I’m grateful because we still have projects like this. Project that can give livelihood to a lot of artists.
"We have been hit by this pandemic and a lot of people especially the events have no work so being part of Tala, The Film Concert is really…
"I’m grateful because this is an opportunity for us to create again, be productive, be creative, be in touch with other creative people, most importantly, is giving livelihood."
Ibinahagi ni Teacher Georcelle na hindi madali ang bumuo ng isang film concert sa gitna ng coronavirus pandemic dahil sa mga hamong naranasan ng lahat ng mga sangkot sa proyekto.
"There’s a lot of challenges doing this sa panahon ng pandemic.
"There are times we had to cancel because there’s some crew tested positive. We had to move taping because of the typhoons.
"There’s so many challenges, but here we are, we’re making sure that all health and safety protocols have been practiced at also, ano pa ang dapat gawin to prevent that from spreading?
"We made sure na all people involved whenever we do our taping are tested para lang mabuo itong proyekto na 'to, at siyempre, para meron kaming maipakita sa mga manonood.
"There’s a lot of meetings. We also have a group chat for a lot of concerns life for technical, lights, camera shots, for outfits, for choreography.
"Everything is done now from home para we can limit our face to face rehearsals and meetings.
"Choreographers do their choreography at home and they will just wait for my approval and we will send it to Sarah. Sarah will also give her feedback so the process is very collaborative.
"That’s what this situation taught us really. We are now in a different level of creativity.
"Itong yung concert na 'Tala,' ito yung nagbibigay ng hope. That’s our goal, this is really a celebration.
"This concert is about celebration. This concert is about celebrating life."
