Masayang-masaya si Xian Lim dahil pataas nang pataas ang ratings ng False Positive, ang prime-time drama comedy fantasy series ng GMA-7 na pinagbibidahan nila ni Glaiza De Castro.
Unang teleserye project ito ni Xian sa Kapuso Network.
"I feel blessed that our audiences are enjoying the concept of a man being pregnant. We hope that our viewers will continue to watch and support False Positive,” ang pahayag ni Xian sa exclusive interview sa kanya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ngayong Linggo, May 15, 2022.
"I'd like to thank GMA Network and the whole creatives for giving me the opportunity to portray an out-of-the-box character.
"It feels great to bring something light to the table for our audiences to just sit back and enjoy.
"In every work that I do, I always take a step back and analyze what I could have done differently to improve the scene. Being part of this comedy series alone is a huge honor."
XIAN LIM'S SUPPOSED FIRST GMA-7 SERIES
Ang Love.Die.Repeat ang dapat na unang television series project ni Xian sa GMA-7, pero pansamantalang itinigil noong September 2021 ang taping dahil sa pagbubuntis ng lead actress na si Jennylyn Mercado.
Isinilang na ni Jennylyn ang panganay na anak nila ni Dennis Trillo noong April 2022 kaya tinanong namin si Xian kung may balita na siya tungkol sa pagpapatuloy ng taping ng Love.Die.Repeat.
"As of the moment, we haven't heard from the production team as to when we'll resume, but I'm looking forward to getting back on the Love, Die, Repeat set and finish another out-of-the-box concept for our Kapuso Viewers to enjoy,” ang sagot ni Xian.
Bukod sa pag-arte, may pinaghahandaang bagong proyekto si Xian bilang direktor para sa isang pelikulang ipapalabas sa Vivamax streaming site.
"I'm writing and directing a movie for VivaMax, and we'll begin shooting next month. “ The genre is fantasy/comedy/drama and it's a story about second chances. We have yet to announce the final line up of the cast,” ang kuwento ni Xian na inihinto muna ang paglalaro ng basketball dahil sa kanyang movie and television commitments.
ON BEING A KAPUSO
Noong January 2018, marami ang ginulat ni Xian nang umalis ito sa Star Magic, ang talent-management arm ng ABS-CBN at lumipat siya sa Viva Artists Agency, ang talent-management company ng Viva Entertainment.
Nag-alala ang mga tagahanga ni Xian sa posibleng maging epekto sa kanyang acting career nang umalis siya sa ABS-CBN.
Pero makalipas ang dalawang taon, may mga fans na nagsasabing good career move ang ginawang paglipat ni Xian.
Nitong pandemya kasi, bukod sa mga projects niya sa TV, nakagawa siya ng apat na pelikula—ang Untrue, Love The Way You Lie, Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story, at Bahay na Pula—under Viva Films.
Ano ang masasabi ni Xian sa mga ganitong komento?
"I strongly believe that artists should be able to perform in all platforms available. There will be exclusivity amongst the networks, managers, and artists, but that is business side of the game.
"I have no clue on how to play that.
"As an artist, all I want is a canvas to paint on and express my medium whether it be a television series or film,” ang sagot ni Xian.
