Humarap sa mga miyembro ng entertainment media sina Viva Communications President and CEO Vincent del Rosario, Viva Communications SVP for Content Creation and Development of TV Production and Creative Research Val del Rosario, at Vivamax Chief Operating Officer Ronan de Guzman sa paglulunsad ng Viva Prime sa isang events place sa Quezon City noong Huwebes, January 19, 2023.
Ang Viva Prime ang bagong streaming platform ng Viva Communications na matutunghayan simula sa January 29.
May paliwanag si De Guzman tungkol sa kaibahan ng Viva Prime at ng Vivamax.
Pahayag niya, “ All our contents offerings are found in the Vivamax mobile app and website.
"Inside our service will be two doors—Max which is for more risqué and mature content while Prime will cater to a general audience.
“The distinction is being mde on the platform in order to further enhance existing parental controls on Max content while allowing ease of use for the general patronage of Prime content."
Nagpaka-humble naman si Vincent nang tanungin kung puwede na nilang ipagmalaki na major force sa streaming platforms ang kanilang kompanya dahil ang Vivamax ang nangunguna.
Saad niya, “Mahirap magbuhat ng bangko, but malinaw na we are here to stay sa negosyo ng streaming. Nakita namin na ito ang future, of course not discounting yung other platforms like free-to-air, cinema or pay TV.
“Nakikita namin na this is the future, direct to consumer na negosyo wherein, instantenously, malalaman mo ang feedback through the back end, analytics, ano yung nagustuhan ng mga tao, yung ayaw nila.
“That’s why we assembled a great team and all the unsung heroes of Vivamax. We’re happy and, hopefully, the next few years, merong isang Filipino streaming app na mare-recognize sa ibang bansa, hindi dahil sa mga Pilipino lang kundi pati sa mainstream market.
“Ronan mentioned there are 26,000 plus non-Pinoy subscribers in other territories so, I guess, that’s a testament to how our contents has traveled beyond language, beyond territories so happy kami.”
May pagtutuwid si Vincent tungkol sa maling akala na baka hindi mapanood sa Viva Prime ang mga artistang nakilala sa mga Vivamax movie at original series gaya nina AJ Raval at Angeli Khang.
“I think, with the right roles, oo naman," paniniguro ni Vincent na mapapanood sa Viva Prime ang sexy stars ng Vivamax.
"Kasi we see to it na may career growth yung mga artista regardless kung ano yung pinagsimulan nila.
"Yun ang intention and I think mangyayari yun,”
May paglilinaw rin si Vincent tungkol sa walang katotohanang paniniwala na mga adult content lamang ang mga inihahandog ng Vivamax.
“Just to clarify, yung imahe ng Vivamax baka perception lang. Kasi yung laman ng Vivamax na app, and you can count, walang ten percent ang risqué, not more than seventy titles. Seven hundred plus titles are pang-Viva Prime.
“Siyempre, maingay lang when you see an Angeli Khang movie or AJ Raval movie. Napag-uusapan sa social media.
"Pero if you dig deep in the app, you’ll see na nandoon sina Sharon Cuneta, lahat, all the big stars, sina Sarah Geronimo…
“Nama-magnify lang, pero in reality, it’s just a small portion of Vivamax offering…”
