And the rest is history.

RICHARD FIRST CHOICE IN SCORPIO NIGHTS, SECOND CHOICE IN INDAY BOTE

Kuwento ni Richard sa panayam sa kanya ng Fast Talk With Boy Abunda: “I was in Regal at that time, kasama ko si Douglas [Quijano, Richard’s late manager].

Peque Gallaga yan.’

“I don’t know who Peque Gallaga was kasi bago pa ako noon.

"Sabi niya, ‘Don’t worry. Punta tayo kay Mother.’

“We went to Mother Lily. Sabi niya, 'Ayaw mo?

Lahad ni Richard: “Hindi raw tinanggap ni Gabby because si Maricel at saka si William [Martinez], they were the biggest loveteam at the time. And siguro Gabby didn’t want to be the third wheel.

“E, sino ba naman ako? Wala akong pangalan, ibinigay sa akin. 'Okay, sige.'

"After three, four days, nagsu-shooting na ako ng Inday Bote. Ganoon lang kabilis.”
