Ethan Renar David ang tunay na pangalan ng singer-actor na si Ethan David.
Isinilang siya noong Pebrero 4, 2003 at natutong kumanta sa edad na tatlo.
Miyembro ng P-pop group na GAT si Ethan, pero napansin ang husay nito sa pag-awit nang gampanan niya ang karakter na Arnel sa Bagets.

Ang talentong ipinamalas ni Ethan sa musical at stage adaptation ng 1984 hit movie, pati ang pagganap sa karakter na unang binigyang-buhay ni Raymond Launchengco, ang dahilan kaya nagkaroon ng interes ang mga humahanga sa kanyang malaman ang kuwento ng buhay niya.
“I started singing at an early age of three years old, but I only started joining singing competitions at around 11 years old.
“After I won 2015 Junior Vocalist of the World at World Championships of Performing Art [WCOPA] representing Canada, that’s when I went to the Philippines to do some TV guestings.
"And that’s when I got discovered by my current co-manager and I signed with Viva in 2016,” pagpapakilala ni Ethan sa sarili sa panayam sa kanya ng Cabinet Files.

ETHAN DAVID ON BAGETS, THE MUSICAL
Sumali si Ethan sa audition na ipinatawag para sa mga magbibida sa Bagets, The Musical, at pinalad na makapasa.
Maligayang-maligaya siya nang sabihin sa kanyang gagampanan niya ang karakter ni Arnel.
Lahad ni Ethan: “Yes, I did auditioned for Bagets, The Musical! It was so nerve-wracking as it’s going to be my first musical if ever I got in.
“When I found that I got accepted for the role of Arnel, I was so happy because that’s the role I wanted.
“While I was talking to our musical director, Vince Lim, he told me that one of the reasons why I got in was that I had a tenor voice which was needed for Arnel.”
Ano ang mga paghahanda mo para sa papel na ipinagkatiwala sa iyo? Pinanood mo ba ang film version ng Bagets?
Ayon kay Ethan: “I watched the movie for reference and did some research about the '80s. I also put effort in to my speaking voice as it needed work in projecting.
“I would practice vocal exercise in the morning and study my materials late at night after rehearsals and often, there were sleepless night. But in the end, it was all worth it!"
Sa tanong tungkol sa mga magagandang alaala niya sa rehearsals at pagtatanghal ng Bagets, The Musical, inilahad ni Ethan na umiyak siya sa unang gabi ng kanilang palabas.
“There were so many good memories that I had in our rehearsals. It was the fun bonding, playing online games, making jokes and talks about life with the Bagets boys and of course all the cast. It was special.
“During the opening show, one thing I can’t forget was we cried so hard.
"It was a cry that I haven’t experienced before. It was fulfilling.”
Mligayang-maligaya si Ethan sa mga papuring natatanggap kaya nangako siyang lalong pagbubutihin ang mga ginagawa para sa kanyang propesyon na pinili, lalupa’t hindi niya binalak umarte.
Saad niya: “My career in acting was something unexpected. I always wanted to be a professional singer but didn’t expect I would do acting.
“At first, it was something I was not passionate about.
"But after a few series that I did, like Ang Mutya Ng Section E and Seducing Drake Palma, and the characters that I get to portray, I found love in acting.
"And this is something that I want to do for a long time. Yes, I’m looking forward to more acting projects!”
