9 Manila roads closed for INC rally on Monday, Jan. 13

Don't worry, here also is the list of roads to take as alternate routes.

In preparation for the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) peace rally happening tomorrow, January 13, 2025, the Manila Public Information Office released the list of streets to be closed and alternate routes for motorists and commuters

Siyam na mga kalsada ang isasara bukas, January 13, 2025, sa Lungsod ng Maynila para sa magaganap na rally ng Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

Ang mga nasabing daanan ay nakapaligid sa Quirino Grandstand sa Luneta, kung saan mangyayari ang National Rally for Peace ng naturang religious group.

Narito ang mga kalsadang isasara mula alas-4:00 ng umaga, ayon sa Facebook post ng Manila Public Information Office:

  • Katigbak Drive and South Drive
  • Independence Road
  • North and South bound of Roxas Blvd. from Katigbak Drive to U.N. Ave.
  • North and South bound of Bonifacio Drive from Katigbak Drive to Anda Circle
  • P. Burgos Ave. from Victoria St. to Roxas Blvd.
  • Ma. Orosa St. from P. Burgos Ave. to U.N. Ave
  • Finance Rd. from P. Burgos Ave. to Taft Ave.
  • Gen. Luna Roundtable
  • Kalaw Ave. from Taft Ave. to Roxas Blvd.

Narito naman ang maaaring re-routing sa mga sasakyang maaapektuhan ng road closures:

  • Vehicles coming from Southbound lane of Roxas Blvd., A. Mabini St., and Ma. Orosa St. intending to utilize Kalaw Ave. shall turn right to U.N. Ave. to point of destination.
  • All trucks and trailers traveling Northbound lane of Osmeña Highway going to Mel Lopez Blvd. (Pier Area) shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave., to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.
  • Vehicles coming from Ayala Blvd. intending to utilize Finance Road straight to P. Burgos Ave. shall turn left to Taft Ave. to point of destination.
  • Vehicles coming from the 3 Bridges (Jones, MacArthur, and Quezon Bridge) intending to utilize P. Burgos Ave. going to Roxas Blvd. shall take Lagusnilad straight to Taft Ave. to point of destination.
  • Vehicles coming from Sta. Lucia St. to Muralla St. intending to utilize Gen. Luna Roundtable shall go straight to Muralla St. to point of destination.
  • Vehicles coming from Mel Lopez Blvd. intending to utilize Bonifacio Drive shall take Anda Circle then turn right to Soriano Ave. to point of destination.
  • All trailer trucks/heavy vehicles coming from Mel Lopez Blvd. (R-10) going to Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to Capulong St., straight to Yuseco St. to Lacson Ave. to point of destination. (old truck route.)

Ayon sa pamunuan ng INC, ang dahilan ng magaganap na rally ay para mag-promote ng kapayapaan at pagkakaisa.

“It’s a rally for peace, that’s all. I think the INC wants to send a message across the nation that peace is a factor in achieving development and progress in this country,” saad ni Sagip Party-list Representative Rodante Marcoleta, na miyembro ng INC.

NATIONAL ROAD CLOSURES, SUSPENSIONS

Bukod sa magaganap na malaking rally sa Maynila ay mayroon ding magaganap na pagtitipon ng mga miyembro ng INC sa iba pang lugar sa bansa.

Dahil dito ay nag-anunsiyo na rin ang pamunuan ng mga apektadong lugar ng kani-kanilang road closures at suspensions.

Kasama na rito ang Iloilo City, dahil sa magaganap na INC rally sa Iloilo Freedom Grandstand.

Sinuspinde na ni Iloilo Mayor Jerry Treñas ang pasok sa lahat ng antas ng paaralan para bukas, January 13.

Suspendido na rin ang klase sa lahat ng antas ng paaralan sa Davao City.

Sampung kalsada sa Davao ang isasara para sa rally sa nasabing siyudad.

Sinuspinde naman ni Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson ang trabaho sa mga government office, dahil sa magaganap na INC rally sa Capitol Park and Lagoon sa Bacolod City.
