Ikinatuwa ni Senator Imee Marcos na nasa Netflix na ang remastered version ng pelikulang Oro, Plata, Mata na handog ng Experimental Cinema of the Philippines (ECP) apat na dekada na ang lumipas.
Si Imee ang naging director general ng ECP, with Charo Santos as producer.
Ang isa pang iprinodyus ng ECP, ang Himala, ay mag-i-streaming din ng remastered version sa Netflix.
Ang Himala ay kalahok sa MMFF 1982.
Tatlong National Artists ang kabahagi sa Himala — ang bidang si Nora Aunor, ang direktor na si Ishmael Bernal, at ang scriptwriter na si Ricky Lee.
Nag-reunion sina Nora, Charo, at Imee sa 70th FAMAS Awards noong Hulyo 30 sa Metropolitan Theater ng Manila.
“Tuwang-tuwa naman ako, nakita ko sina Charo Santos at Ate Guy sa FAMAS. Tuwang-tuwa kami sa mga lola ng Himala at Oro, Plata, Mata!” bulalas ni Senator Imee sa Pandesal Forum noong Oktubre 14, Biyernes, sa Kamuning Bakery, Judge Jimenez St., Quezon City.
Ang host ng forum ay si Wilson Lee Flores, na may-ari ng panaderia na 83-anyos na.
Ang isa sa mga bida ng Oro, Plata, Mata, si Fides Cuyugan-Asensio, ay kasabay nina Nora Aunor at Ricky Lee na idineklara ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte bilang Pambansang Alagad ng Sining noong Hunyo 10.

Samantala, nabuhay muli ang usaping mandatory drug testing sa mga artista nang madakip ang aktor na si Dominic Roco noong Oktubre 1, 2022, sa isang drug buy-bust.

Pabor ba si Senator Imee sa panukalang ito?
“Palaging problema 'yang mga mandatory drug testing,” sambit niya.
“Kasi siyempre, may karapatang pantao pa rin, merong privacy rin. Yung records mo, hindi naman kailangang ilabas.
“So, yung mandatory na 'yan, di ba, nagkaisyu na 'yan maski sa government employees. Malaking gulo na 'yan, e.
“Pero, of course, talagang dapat yung drug war, tutukan pa rin. Dapat walang humpay tayo sa paghahabol ng mga drug lord, ng mga drug syndicate.
“I think we shouldn’t stop, and we should pursue that to its bitter end.”

Sana maibalik ang organisasyon na may layunun tulad ng ECP, at mag-fund ito ng talagang magagandang experimental film projects na pambuong mundo.
Malay mo, dito nga manggagaling ang pinakamimithi nating Oscar nomination for best international feature.
Inaasam din nating ma-nominate ang kababayang Dolly de Leon bilang best supporting actress sa 95th Academy Awards o Oscars para sa pelikulang Triangle of Sadness.

Regarding the mandatory drug testing, ayan na nga, naglalabasan na ang ibang mga alegasyon na may kinalaman sa droga, at anak pa ng mataas na opisyal, ha.
Sana, sa lahat ng sektor ipatupad ito. At ang gagastos dito ay ang pamahalaan mismo. Huwag nang ikarga sa mga taong hikahos na talaga.

Nabanggit ni Senator Imee na nasa abroad ang direktor ng pelikulang Maid in Malacañang na si Darryl Yap.
“Wala dito, nagpi-premiere sa Europe, London, Madrid, sa iba pang bansa,” sabi ng senadora.
Ipinahiwatig ni Imee na may follow-up movie si Direk Darryl.
