All is set para sa 48th MMFF Parade of Stars na magaganap sa Quezon City sa December 21, 2022, Wednesday, and that will signal the start of the countdown to the highly anticipated and illustrious Metro Manila Film Festival 2022.
The parade, hosted by the Quezon City local government, will feature floats carrying the stars of the eight official movie entries in this year's MMFF, beginning at Welcome Rotonda at 4:00 p.m. and ending at Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC).

As part of the agency’s traffic management plan, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Acting Chairman and concurrent MMFF over-all Chairman Atty. Romando Artes said members of the Traffic Engineering Center, Traffic Discipline Office, and Sidewalk Clearing Operations Group are working hand-in-hand with the Quezon City LGU and barangay leaders to manage traffic and ensure safety of the people attending the parade.
The MMFF Parade Committee, the local government of Quezon City, and concerned barangay officials have also inspected the route and the parade grounds.
Staging area for the floats of eight official entries and MMDA will be along E. Rodriguez Avenue to Banawe.
On the evening of December 20, motorists are advised to stay away from the site for the construction of stage and float ingress. The parade will cover a distance of 7.36 kilometers and is expected to take a minimum of two hours and 30 minutes.
The MMDA also listed alternate routes for motorists that will be affected by the parade.
ALTERNATE ROUTES FOR THE MMFF PARADE OF STARS VEHICLES TOWARDS EDSA/QMC
Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard should turn right at Blumentritt Road then left at Sto. Tomas Street or Matimyas Street, right Nicanor Ramirez., left at Cordillera St, right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard may also turn right at Nicanor Ramirez, go straight towards Cordillera St., right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard may also turn at Blumentritt Rd. then left at Sto. Tomas Street or Matimyas Street, right Nicanor Ramirez., left at Cordillera St, right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
VEHICLES TOWARDS MANILA AREA
Vehicles traveling from Quezon Avenue tunnel up ramp should turn right at Biak na Bato, left at Dapitan Street, left at Lacson Avenue and right at Espana boulevard to their destination.
Vehicles traveling from Quezon Avenue turn right at D Tuazon Street, then left at Sen. Mariano Cuenco to Piy Margal Street, left at Blumentritt Road, then right at España Blvd to their destination.
VEHICLES TOWARDS DEL MONTE AVENUE AND ARANETA AVENUE
Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard should take a U-turn at Mabuhay Rotonda, then right at Blumentritt Road, then right at Piy Margal Street, then left to Mayon Street to their destination.
VEHICLES TOWARDS E. RODRIGUEZ SR. AVENUE, EDSA/QMC
Vehicles traveling from Mayon Street should turn right at Piy Margal Street, left at Blumentritt Rd. then left at Sto. Tomas Street or Matimyas Street, right at Nicanor Ramirez St., and straight towards Cordillera St. right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., Left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
After ng parada, magbubukas ang mga pelikula sa December 25 hanggang January 7. At ang Gabi Ng Parangal ay gaganapin sa December 27 sa New Frontier Theater sa pakikipagtulungan ng Bingo Plus na siyang magbibigay ng cash prize sa top awards.

Sa tingin ko naman, maganda ang kalalabasan sa takilya ng walong pelikulang kalahok sa 48th MMFF. Bumabalik na ang interes ng mga tao na manood sa mga sinehan.
Sa mga pelikulang ipinalabas kamakailan lang, malakas pa rin ang Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Sa pitong pelikula na nag-open noong Disyembre 7, Miyerkules, ay OK raw sa takilya iyong Puss In Boots: The Last Wish at isa pang foreign movie.
Ayon sa aming source, mahina raw talaga ang local movies na Call Me Papi at Ang Kwento ni Makoy.
Sana, babawiin ito ng walong pelikula sa darating na MMFF 2022.

“Balik Saya” ang tema ng 48th MMFF na gaganapin mula Disyembre 25 hanggang Enero 7.
Masaya ang Pinoy moviegoers nang mag-showing sa local cinemas ang Black Panther: Wakanda Forever umpisa Nobyembre 9. Nakaapat na weekend na ang Black Panther: Wakanda Forever pero patuloy pa rin itong umaariba sa mga sinehan natin, maging sa iba’t ibang panig ng daigdig.
Natitiyak nating magsasaya rin ang Pinoy moviegoers sa pagpapalabas ng Avatar: The Way of Water umpisa Disyembre 14, Miyerkules, sa mga sinehan.
Advance na ang bentahan ng tickets para sa Avatar: The Way of Water sa iba’t ibang sinehan, at nakikini-kinita na natin ang pagdagsa ng mga manonood sa sequel ng Avatar.
Tinagurian ang Avatar: The Way of Water na motion picture event of the year. Makikipagsalpukan sa Avatar: The Way of Water ang launching film ni Jeric Gonzales na Broken Blooms.
Nawa’y maging masigasig ang mga tagahanga at tagasubaybay ni Jeric sa pagsuporta sa pelikulang ito, kung sa taampok din sina Jaclyn Jose, Therese Malvar, Royce Cabrera, Boobay, at Lou Veloso.
Nasa Facebook page na ng Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) ang ilang pelikula na aabangan natin next year.
