Boy Abunda explains why he should use the word Fast Talk.

“I spoke to Popoy Caritativo this afternoon, confirmed Carla Abellana. I spoke to Popoy. In other words, I’m going to work with a great team pero hindi ako uupo.

“Paano natin ibabalik yung audience? Ito nga, we’re going through the process,” pahayag ni Kuya Boy.

“We’re going through the process of press conferences para ipaalam sa sambayanan na tayo’y merong bagong ihahain. Pero it’s not gonna be easy.

“This is going to be tough dahil ako’y kakatok, hihiram, hihingi ng 20 minutes ng oras tuwing hapon, from Monday to Friday, mula sa ating mga kababayan.

“Sa mga nanay, sa mga tatay, sa mga Kapuso. Na makipagbalitaan, makipagkuwentuhan. But exactly, how it’s gonna work, is it gonna work? Mapangahas masyadong sabihin na magagawa ko yun.

“I will need your help. I am surrounded, I think, by an extremely competent team of creatives. Pagtutulung-tulungan namin yun.

“Doon sa pagbabago ng landscape… I am cognizant of where we are today. Hindi lamang reporters, hindi lamang tayo. Ako, nagyu-YouTube. Ika’y merong YouTube, may Facebook.

“Everybody has become an active participant in the communications ecosystem.

“Sa pagbabalita ngayon, halimbawa pag may buntis, it starts with sabi ko nga, cryptic posts. Until, you know, somebody reveals.

“Or pag nag-away, ina-unfollow. Tinatanggal ang mga litrato sa IG. Lahat ng ito, familiar tayo. Familiar tayo na nabago na.

“Hindi katulad noon na inaantay natin ang mga palabas para i-confirm ang mga balita. O di kaya hinahabol natin. We were all going for exclusives hanggang magsasalita halimbawa ang artista. Alam natin yun.

“So, saan ako sisingit? Saan tayo sisingit? This was a brilliant idea by my headwriters — to call the show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

“Because that is my brand. That is who I am. To the millennials, if you wanna say.

“Kung noon ay maraming mga salita ang ginagamit tungkol sa akin, e ngayon pag nakakasalubong ko ang mga tao ay, ‘Sex or chocolate?’ ang tanong, di ba? Or ‘Lights on or lights off?’

“So I thought it was a brilliant idea to say. Bakit tayo nagpapaliguy-ligoy pa? Because we were thinking, ‘Ano ba ang ihahain natin?’ ‘Mag-fast talk tayo.’ So yun.

“To be able to communicate with the millennials. Gagawin natin yun. Pangalawa, we have to step up. We have to be able to present… how are we gonna do Fast Talk? Siguro dun sa mga katanungan.

“Kasi ang Fast Talk naman, it’s specific and it’s personal to the guest… So ang Fast Talk is fun because hindi masyadong nakahulma.

“Halimbawa, nagkaroon ka ng boyfriend na may girlfriend. Ang Fast Talk ko siguro sa iyo ay boyfriend-girlfriend, so it becomes very personal.

“And that’s where the fun is coming from.”

“So gagamitin natin ang isang elemento na akin. Ibibigay ko yun, di ba?

“Dahil alalahanin natin, ako’y singit lamang, ako’y hihiram lamang ng 20 minutes doon sa sabi nga ng ating boss, ni Lilybeth [Rasonable] ay nasanay ang ating merkado doon sa mga teleserye in the afternoon.

“Ahhm, aside from that, susubok din tayo. Susubok din tayong gumawa ng headlines. Kung marami sa social media ang nagiging sources ng kuwento, hindi ko ihihinto rin. Maghahabol din tayo ng kuwento.

“Malay mo makatisod tayo ng balita na sa atin mag-uumpisa. Because remember, we have access to the GMA artists. We have access to our personal friends.

“At may konting kredibilidad dahil may fact-checking kami. Kung halimbawa, magbibigay ako ng headline, dadaan yan sa napakaraming tao before I’m able to do you know a commentary for example. Or an enumeration of headlines for the day.”

Tama ngang isang malaking sugal ang mag-entertainment talk show gayong nakasanayan nang magpasabog na rebelasyon ng mga tao sa kanilang social media.

Ngunit ang kaibahan nito ay si Tito Boy ang magtatanong. Ang strength nito ay GMA-produced kaya may clout silang paupuin ang mga talents nito.

Sana lang, hindi lang taga-GMA ang magiging guests para hindi maging atin-atin lang ang show.
