Nakatakdang i-auction ang isang painting ni Heart Evangelista.
Isa ito sa art piece na na-preview namin sa Leon Art Gallery na magkakaroon ng auction online sa Sabado at Linggo, April 20 at 21, 2024.
Nakatsikahan ng PEP Troika ang director ng Leon Art Gallery na si Jaime Ponce de Leon noong Lunes, Abril 15.
Excited daw siya sa ipapa-auction na painting ni Heart. Ongoing na ang preview sa Warehouse 14 ng La Fuerza Plaza sa Makati.

“Everything can be checked online, leon-gallery.com for the e-catalogue and for the bidding proper, leonexchange.com,” pakli niya.
“Everything is so cheap. We want to get rid of everything. We just want to clear the entire warehouse. So, everything must go. Everything starts very, very low.”
Ang untitled painting ni Heart, na handsigned at print at may sukat na 158/300, 16 ½ x 16 ½ (42 cm x 42cm), ay may minimum o starting price na PHP90,000.
“We have exhibited Heart Evangelista in the past, and she had a very good following. And, like, this particular piece we have in the auction was consigned by a collector. So, now is a chance for the collecting public to acquire a work of Heart,” pahayag ni Jaime.

Ngayon lang daw sila nakapag-auction ng painting ni Heart.
Nagawa na rin daw nila ito sa paintings ng iba pang artista.
“Solenn [Heussaff], we get to offer also, and Xian Lim, and many other artists. Although in this particular one, only Heart,” dagdag niya.
Ayon pa kay Jaime, marami na rin sa mga artista natin ang tahimik lang pero active din sila sa ganitong auction dahil mahilig din silang mangolekta ng mga paintings at iba pang art pieces.
“We have some famous celebrities who are quiet art collectors, like Aga and Charlene Muhlach, they’re very good collectors.
“Richard Gomez is a very good collector, and you have Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are good collectors too. They participate in the auction.
“You can see them… you can see Aga and Charlene practically in every big auction that we have,” aniya.

Marami pang collections ng kilalang personalities na pinapa-auction na rin, at talagang magaganda, at mababa ang minimum price na nagsisimula sa PHP4,000 hanggang PHP10,000 lamang.
“All of these pieces are consigned,” pakli ni Jamie.
“So, these pieces come from again the best homes in Manila. When families downsize to smaller homes. They have to sell everything in their old houses. So, that’s the source of most did not all of these things.
“You will see in the auction that things come from like from Don Eugenio Lopez collection, in his house. Things from Ramon Valera, the famous couturier, from his house also. Purita Kalaw-Ledesma’s collections of santos. You also have Dr. Victor Reyes’ collections of paintings.
“Dr. Victor Reyes was a famous collector, and he was the one who pioneered the neuro-surgery in the Philippines. He was a known collector. And many other collections in this particular auction.”

Pinu-post nila sa Facebook ang kani-kanyang artworks, at ina-update tayo kung kabahagi sila ng exhibit.
Ang kaibigang Leandro Baldemor, bukod sa pagiging mang-uukit ay painter din. May sarili siyang gallery sa hometown niyang Paete, Laguna.

Painter din ang kaibigan nating si Congressman Richard Gomez. Dalawang artwork niya ang naging kontrobersyal dahil sa subject matter.
